The Perfect Candidate : 

This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, structured thinking, leadership capability, and prior experience operating within well-organized financial environments.

  • CPA designation (Canada), active and in good standing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience (audit or assurance preferred).
  • Private sector experience is an asset.
  • Experience in project-based, construction, engineering, or operational environments strongly preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or team management experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE / IFRS.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities Include: 

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, audit coordination, and internal control development.   You will work closely with Executive Leadership, Project Managers, and Operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, disciplined project accounting, and strong governance practices.

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
  • Prepare and review financial statements (ASPE / IFRS as applicable).
  • Lead external audit coordination and serve as primary liaison with auditors.
  • Oversee corporate income tax and indirect tax compliance (GST/HST, QST).
  • Ensure payroll tax compliance (T4, RL-1, source deductions).
  • Manage project-based accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on WIP analysis and profitability tracking.
  • Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation standards.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting team members.
  • Provide financial analysis and insight to support executive decision-making.

  • POSITION: OVERNIGHT MANAGER/NIGHT AUDIT

  • DATES: Flexible – choose your own schedule!  Clients often need 3-4 week contracts for 2-5 days a week.

The Industrial Painter is responsible for surface preparation, application of industrial coatings, and ultra high-quality finishing of rail vehicles and components in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. This role supports refurbishment, repair, and new build programs for passenger and freight rolling stock.

  • Perform surface preparation activities including cleaning, degreasing, sanding, grinding, masking, and abrasive blasting as required.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects, corrosion, or damage and report issues prior to coating application.
  • Ensure surfaces meet required preparation standards before painting.
  • Apply industrial paints and coatings using spray equipment, rollers, and brushes as required.
  • Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
  • Apply primers, intermediate coats, and topcoats to specified thickness and finish requirements.
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs to existing coatings as required.
