A globally recognized retail brand with more than 430 stores worldwide is opening a location in Whistler, BC and seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to join its Leadership Team. As Store Manager, you will inspire and lead a high-performing team of store leaders and associates to create an engaging, customer-focused environment that drives sales and strengthens brand loyalty. You will champion operational excellence, execute strategic marketing initiatives, and cultivate meaningful connections with your local consumer base to expand market reach.
Leveraging your deep understanding of customer insights and trends, you will influence product assortment decisions by effectively communicating store-level needs and opportunities. Your leadership will ensure the store consistently delivers on performance goals while embodying the brand’s values and commitment to excellence.
About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- Full-time, year round., Whistler, BC
- Wage: $68,000- $90,000 per year, based on experience.
- Extended health benefits, dental, vision, pension plan, paid time off.
The Perfect Candidate:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, relevant certification, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of retail or related industry experience, with demonstrated career progression.
- Proven leadership experience managing a department or serving in a team lead capacity.
- Experience directly managing a team, including at least two full-time direct reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve technical, operational, and organizational challenges while making sound decisions that positively impact financial performance, efficiency, and overall store effectiveness.
- Proficient in inventory management, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and retail software platforms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Physically capable of frequently lifting and moving merchandise up to 40 lbs.
- Flexible and adaptable, with availability to work a retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leads the store team to hire, develop, and coach diverse staff to meet consumer engagement and consumer experience expectations. Inspires, guides, and develops team members to meet short-term and long-term growth and career plans.
- Leads product merchandising and promotional execution to tell compelling product and brand stories that influence consumer buying decisions.
- Develops and executes strategies that drive sales, minimizes inventory shrink, and manages operating expenses within budget to achieve divisional goals and increase store profitability.
- Leads effective and accurate execution of operating procedures and ensures team members adhere to company policies and standards.
- Provides regular feedback and recognition to employees for their contributions to the store and team success.
- Maintains accurate and timely store records related to applicants, new hires, payroll, coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Communicates regularly with Area/District Manager providing relevant market information, product assortment needs, and employee successes and challenges.
- Responsible for the monitoring and achievement of operational and/or financial results for area of responsibility to accomplish the vision of the company.
