  • HOURS:  Typically starting between 8am-9am for 6-10 hours (hours over 8 get overtime pay of x1.5)
  • LOCATION: Squamish, Whistler & Pemberton
  • DUTIES: Assisting with traditional carpentry and construction duties on a variety of job sites.  Carpentry duties  may include framing, finishing, interior and exterior cupboard work, general labour and basic construction duties at a job site.   For painters, this may include sanding, painting frames, interior and exterior general painting.  Trades and other skilled shift duties will vary.  Temp shifts include detailed information on the duties for each individual shift, so you can decide if you want to work it!
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: We have assignments for all skill levels -from beginners to senior trades.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel-toed boots required.  Work gloves and basic hand tools are often recommended.

WAGES:  $30 to $50/hr + 4% vacation pay + BONUSES

The Whistler Mountain Ski Club (WMSC) is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sponsorship, Partnerships, Fundraising & Events Manager to lead and grow the Club’s revenue-generating initiatives and community engagement efforts.

This role is responsible for managing and expanding WMSC’s existing partnership portfolio (currently valued at approximately $250,000 annually), with a strategic goal of doubling sponsorship and fundraising revenue over time.

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, relationship-focused, and highly organized, with proven experience in sponsorship sales, partnership development, fundraising, and event execution.

The Whistler Mountain Ski Club is one of North America’s leading ski racing clubs, and have been developing Olympians and Fine Human Beings since 1968.  They are currently the number one producer of athletes to our National Team

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:  

  • Annual base salary of $40,000, plus commission on sponsorships and fundraising opportunities.
  • Commission structure ranging from 7.5% to 15%, depending on whether the sponsorship or fundraising opportunity is from a new or existing client.

Responsibilities Include: 

Sponsorship & Partnerships:

  • Manage and strengthen existing sponsorship and partnership agreements.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new corporate partnerships aligned with WMSC’s brand
    and values.
  • Lead all negotiations, contract development, and renewal processes.
  • Deliver high-quality partner servicing, ensuring fulfillment of all sponsorship benefits.
  • Develop customized partnership proposals and presentations.
  • Track partnership performance and ROI for both WMSC and partners.

Fundraising:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy.
  • Identify new revenue streams including corporate giving, individual donors, and community campaigns.
  • Lead donor cultivation and stewardship efforts.
  • Support and develop grant applications (experience in grant writing is considered a strongasset).
  • Work closely with leadership to align fundraising with Club priorities and athlete development goals.

Events Management:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of a minimum of six (6) major club and fundraising events annually, including:
    • Race events and festivals
    • Fundraising galas or campaigns
    • Community and sponsor engagement events
  • Ensure events are professionally delivered, on brand, and financially successful.
  • Manage event budgets, logistics, vendors, volunteers, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Leverage events as key platforms for sponsorship activation and fundraising.

Strategy & Reporting:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director and leadership team to set annual revenue targets.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to sponsorship, fundraising, and events.
  • Provide regular reporting on revenue performance, pipeline development, and partnership status.
  • Maintain CRM or tracking systems for partners, donors, and prospects
