Room Attendant

Experienced housekeeper  (6+ months prior housekeeping experience required):

    • PROBY (Tier 1) = $24/hr to start
    • REGULAR (Tier 2) = $26/hr after 10 successful shifts

*Initial shift will be used to verify experience and cleaning skills by our clients.


Housepersons/Stewards:
  • TIMES:  9am-5pm
  • DUTIES: Assisting with the delivery of supplies to rooms for guests, restocking of carts, shelves and linens, cleaning public areas, removal of garbage and happy to pitch in where needed.

TEMP: Front Desk & Night Audit Agents

We have openings for Front Desk and Night Audit Agents through our Temp Program at various local hotels. If you have experience in hospitality, this could be your perfect side hustle!   Wages are from $22/hr to $30/hr based on experience and number of shifts completed, and some positions can be ongoing for the right  candidate.

Here are a sample of the current openings:

  • POSITION: OVERNIGHT MANAGER/NIGHT AUDIT
  • DATES:  Flexible – choose your own schedule.  They could be casual 1-off shifts, or contracts for a few weeks at a time
  • HOURS: Approx 11:00pm – 7:30am daily
  • DUTIES:  Perform front desk operations during the night shift, ensuring a warm and professional welcome for all guests.  Handle guest inquiries, calls, check-ins and check-outs efficiently, maintaining accuracy and a high standard of service. Complete regular night audit administrative duties and reports.
  • REQUIREMENTS: Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  A minimum of 1 year of experience in a front desk, hospitality, or customer service role is ideal but not required.
  • POSITION: FRONT DESK AGENT
  • DATES: Flexible – choose your own schedule!  Clients often need 3-4 week contracts for 2-5 days a week.
  • HOURS: Example shifts varying between 7am-3.30pm/ 11am-7.30pm/ 3pm-11.30pm
  • DUTIES: Assist guests with check-in, check-out, and taking payments in a friendly manner. Answering inquiries, general administration, coordinating with other departments. Light admin duties, and pitching in where needed. Training provided.
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Strong customer service and administrative background on a hotel front desk preferred but not required.  Quick to learn new computer programs and experience using property management software beneficial (training will be provided). Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.

 

Progressive Wages

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour, and many shifts include extra bonuses per hour, as well.  Ask us for more details!

  • FRONT DESK WAGE – NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
    • PROBY (Tier 1) = $22/hr to start + 4% vacation pay
    • REGULAR (Tier 2) = $24/hr after 10 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay
    • HERO (Tier 3) = $26/hr after 20 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay
  • FRONT DESK WAGE – WITH 1+ YEARS PRIOR EXPERIENCE:
    • PROBY (Tier 1) = $24/hr to start + 4% vacation pay
    • REGULAR (Tier 2) = $26/hr after 10 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay
    • HERO (Tier 3) = $28/hr after 20 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay
  • NIGHT AUDIT WAGE: NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
    • PROBY (Tier 1) = $24/hr to start + 4% vacation pay
    • REGULAR (Tier 2) = $26/hr after 10 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay
    • HERO (Tier 3) = $28/hr after 20 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay
  • OVERNIGHT MANAGER WAGE: requires supervisor skills & previous front desk or night audit
    • PROBY (Tier 1) = $26/hr to start + 4% vacation pay
    • REGULAR (Tier 2) = $28/hr after 10 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay
    • HERO (Tier 3) = $30/hr after 20 successful shifts + 4% vacation pay

We negotiate  very competitive wages ranging from $28-$33/hr for experienced cooks and upwards of $38-$41+/hr for senior chefs  depending on experience.   Candidates with little to no prior kitchen experience can also earn $23-$26/hr while gaining training and experience that will quickly lead to higher wages and ample career opportunities.

We give you career guidance, resume consultation, no-charge permanent placements in new long-term positions as well as extra shifts and income that fit with your schedule.  We also offer the freedom to experience new kitchens and positions as temporary relief workers.

Senior Chefs Roles:

  • Red Seal Certified Head Chefs, Sous Chefs and Senior Chefs de Parties.
  • 4+ years of experience in a variety of professional kitchens including fine dining and banquets.
  • Leadership, menu planning, training, scheduling and budgeting skills and experience.
  • Red Seal or equivalent certification from professional culinary program completed or in progress.
  • Food Safe and WHIMIS certified.
  • Competitive wages and salaries based on experience typically in the range of $36-$41/hour.

Experienced Line Cooks and Chefs de Partie (cook2):

  • 2-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Some schooling or professional training beneficial.
  • Able to follow all recipes and guidelines for timely food service to guests.
  • Advanced knife and food prep skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Leads by example, able to instruct  junior staff and some basic supervisory or lead-hand skills.
  • Good communication skills in English (written, spoken and reading)
  • Food Safe and WHIMIS certification required.
  • Wages range from $28-$33/hour plus tips with opportunities to apprentice or work toward Red Seal certification.

Prep & Breakfast Cooks and Junior Commis Chefs:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Passionate about with food and cooking and eager to learn.
  • Some schooling or professional chef training beneficial.
  • Good knife skills and basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Experience following recipes and guidelines.
  • Work efficiently in a non- supervised environment.
  • Good communication skills in English (written, spoken and reading).
  • Food Safe and WHIMIS certification very beneficial or can be provided.
  • Wages range from $23-$26/hour plus tips with opportunities to learn and advance.

Entry Level Positions:

  • Dishwashers and Kitchen Helpers or Porters.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Reliable and dependable.  Ready to work hard, eager to learn and help where needed.

  • Maintain a calm and cool demeanor in stressful working conditions.

Responsibilities Include: 

The People & Culture Coordinator will support key functions and daily operations of the P&C department at the resort; tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the People & Culture (P&C) department.
  • Manage internal employee communications, ensuring timely and clear messaging across the organization.
  • Coordinate and maintain employee recognition programs, fostering a culture of appreciation and engagement.
  • Oversee HRIS and data management, including accurate reporting and record maintenance.
  • Support employees with system access and troubleshooting for Workday and ADP time and attendance platforms.
