POSITION:  Experienced Painters

 

  • DATES: Various – Mon-Fri usually (some weekends)
  • HOURS: Flexible start times – usually around 8am or 9am for 8 hours.
  • LOCATION: Indoor and outdoor sites in Whistler, Squamish, & Pemberton.
  • DUTIES INCLUDE: Interior and exterior painting and prep of commercial buildings and homes. Working on ladders or on aerials. Assisting with moving materials, site setup, cleanup and pitching in where needed.
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum 1-2 years experience painting professionally is preferred but not required. Fall arrest training or aerial platform operating ticket is an asset. Physically fit, mobile and able to lift heavy loads (30lbs) and work on your feet for the duration of shift. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • WAGES: $27-$42/hr based on experience + 4% vacation pay
    Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour and many shifts include extra bonuses per hour. Ask us for more details!

Experienced Junior Painter (1-3 yrs’ experience)

  • Proby (Tier 1) = $27hr to start
  • Regular (Tier2) = $29/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3) = $31/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

Skilled Painter (3 yrs+ experience)

  • Proby (Tier 1)  = $30/hr to start
  • Regular (Tier2) = $32/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3)   = $34/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

Senior Painter (5 yrs+ experience)

  • Proby (Tier 1)  = $38/hr to start
  • Regular (Tier2) = $40/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3)   = $42/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

PLUS EXTRA $2-$4/HR FOR SUPERHERO AND HOLIDAY BONUSES!

TEMP: Everesting 29029 Event Work

Everesting 29029 is back and needs people ready to get involved with some fun event work!

This unique event will be coming back to Whistler for the 22nd + 23rd August, and features hundreds of elite athletes Ascending Blackcomb until they reach 29,029 vertical feet  – equal to climbing the highest mountain in the world!

Get involved in this amazing event, and earn Progressive Wages of $22 to $26/hour PLUS vacation pay, overtime rates and the potential for perks and rewards!  You can earn up to $442 per shift!

POSITION:  Aid Station Manager

  • SHIFTS:
    • Fri Aug 22nd = 4am- 10am (6hrs + BONUS)
    • Fri Aug 22nd = 9am-9pm (12hrs = 4hrs OT pay)
    • Fri Aug 22nd = 8pm-7am (11hrs = 3hrs OT pay + BONUS)
    • Sat Aug 23rd = 6am-8pm (14hrs = 6hrs OT pay + BONUS)
  • BREAKS: Breaks are paid and require the employee to stay on-site.
  • DUTIES INCLUDE:  Assist participants and volunteers at aid stations including maintaining a clean and safe workspace, cheering on participants throughout the event and pitching in where needed.  Also includes set up and take down of the aid stations and equipment before and after the event.
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Must be energetic, friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.  Also must be physically capable to work on your feed for long periods and lift moderately heavy loads.
  • LOCATION: Aid stations are situated at different elevations on the Blackcomb mountain course in Whistler, BC.
  • ATTIRE: Dress for the weather, rain or shine, as you’ll be mostly outdoors!

WORK ASSIGNMENT DETAILS:

  • DATE: Saturday, February 9, 2025
  • HOURS:  10am to 4pm
  • LOCATIONS:  Olympic Park (Callaghan Valley) & Whistler Blackcomb Alpine
  • WAGES: $28-$32/hr + 4% vacation pay
    • Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
    •  TIER1 (new hire) $28hr
    • TIER2 (after 10 shifts) $30/hr
    • TIER3 (after 20+ shifts) $32/hr
  • DUTIES: You will be responsible for operating boom trucks to lift, move, and position materials and equipment during the setup of event staging, gates, tents, signage and other aspects of the Invictus Games sites. Requires general labour and basic construction duties at a job site including the use of basic hand and power tools) and pitching in where needed and when boom lift not required.
  • REQUIREMENTS: Valid Zoom Boom certification and Steel Toe Boots REQUIRED! Physically fit, mobile, and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Friendly, hard-working, and happy to pitch in where needed.

OFA attendants are superheroes on every job site – as the safety professional boasting a First Aid certification between 1-3, the Sea-to-Sky always has a need of your expertise! Whether you’ve got your basic First Aid 1 or are an experienced Construction Safety Officer, there are temp shifts with amazing wages on offer right here!

  • DATES: Shifts available on Weekdays on a short contract basis
  • HOURS: Varying start times between 7am-9am for 6-9 hours.

POSITION: First Aid Attendant – Certified OFA level 3 or CSO (Advanced)
  • DUTIES: A CSO will conduct safety orientation for new workers, and give crew-talks to keep personnel informed about safety. They will also conduct and document site inspections, site hazard audits, maintain site safety plans to ensure that work being done on a site follows safety regulation, and pitch in where needed.
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have an advanced certification = OFA level 3 or equivalent. Physically fit, mobile and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel toed boots and PPE.
  • WAGE: $30-$34/hr + 4% vacation pay
    • Proby (Tier 1) = $30/hr to start

TEMP: Farm Workers

Fellow vegetable enthusiasts…an opportunity to work on a beautiful organic farm in Pemberton has just become available! Are you interested in picking up a few shifts this summer? WORK ASSIGNMENT AVAILABLE: 

HARVESTERS AND PACKAGERS – PEMBERTON

  • DATES:  Flexible schedule – pick your own dates!
  • TIME:   8AM-4:30PM – Shifts are expected to be 6-8 hours and overtime may be available.
  • DUTIES:  General farm labour, assisting with weeding, irrigation, clearing on an organic farm in Pemberton.  Raking and shoveling will be involved and pitching in where needed.  Requires being outdoors and on your feet all day.
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  No prior experience necessary.  Enjoys working outdoors and getting their hands dirty.   Physically fit, friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • ATTIRE:  STEEL TOED BOOTS are required for farm labour shifts (but not the fall harvesting shifts).  Outdoor shifts so dress accordingly – wear sun protection and waterproof layers.  Bring water bottle, lunch  and snacks. Rubber boots and gardening gloves recommended – and bring a clean, dry pair of shoes as well.  Long hair tied back.

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE – Qualifications & Skills:
  • Looking for a self starter with the ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Enjoys working with your hands and assembling products.
  • Comfortable on a small buffing machine.
  • Strong attention detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Finishing stainless parts on small tabletop buffing machines.
  • Assembling small CNC machined hand tools requiring screwing different parts together by hand and cordless drills.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
  • Part-time or Full-time, you choose!

SALARY / WAGE RANGE:

Whistler Development Corporation are looking for a Carpenter to join their close-knit team on a permanent basis! The team is launching an awesome new build in Cheakamus building brand new WHA housing, and YOU could be a part of it. This position is unique in that you get to sign up to try it out on our Temporary Program to see if you like the vibe before you commit! The power is in YOUR hands.

  • DATES: Shifts available on Weekdays on an ongoing basis
  • HOURS: 8am-4.30pm
  • LOCATION: Whistler
  • DUTIES: Assisting with traditional carpentry duties, including framing, finishing, general labour and basic construction duties at a job site, and pitching in where needed.
  • WAGES: $27-$42/hr + 4% vacation pay
    • Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour! HIGHER WAGES are also available for Red Seal Certified painters or Team Leads, and many shifts include extra bonuses per hour. All wages also include 4% vacation pay. Ask us for more details!
    • *Initial shifts will be used to verify qualifications.

POSITION: Junior Carpenters (1-2 years specialized exp)

  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have basic carpentry and/or drywalling/trades experience (1-2 years experience) and experience with hand and power tools. Physically fit, mobile and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel toed or sturdy work boots. Work gloves and basic hand tools recommended.
  • WAGE: $27-$31/hr + 4% vacation pay
    • Proby (Tier 1) = $27/hr to start
    • Regular (Tier2) = $29/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
    • Hero (Tier 3) = $31/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

POSITION: Skilled Carpenters (3+ years exp)
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 3+ years carpentry and/or drywalling/trades and hand tools experience. Physically fit, mobile and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel toed or sturdy work boots. Work gloves and basic hand tools recommended.
  • WAGE: $31-$35/hr + 4% vacation pay
    • Proby (Tier 1) = $31/hr to start
    • Regular (Tier2) = $33/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
    • Hero (Tier 3) = $35/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

POSITION: Senior Carpenters (6+ years exp)
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have solid specialized skills as well as prior lead hand or supervisory experience. Prior experience at renovations and ability to read plans also very beneficial. Trustworthy and hardworking. Physically fit, mobile and able to lift heavy loads from time to time (up to 50lbs). Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel toed or sturdy work boots, work gloves and basic hand tools required. Own hand tools required.
  • WAGE: $38-$42/hr + 4% vacation pay
    • Proby (Tier 1) = $38/ hr to start
    • Regular (Tier2) = $40/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
    • Hero (Tier 3) = $42/hr after 20 Successful Shifts
