Superhero Bonus

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour! After you complete 10 probationary shifts, you get a $2/hr wage bump – then you get another bump after 20 shifts for being a HERO!

MINIMUM BASE WAGES—no experience needed:

  • Proby (Tier 1) = $20hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
  • Regular (Tier2) = $22/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3) = $24/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

HAVE EXPERIENCE?—earn higher base wages! For example;

  • Experienced Room Attendants currently: $24-$28/hr
  • Experienced Construction  Labourers Currently: $25-$29/hr
  • Carpenters & Skilled Trades Currently: $30-$44/hr

POSITION: Event Lead

  • DUTIES: Oversees the on-site crew and helps coordinate the setup, execution, and teardown of event operations. Acts as the main point of contact for workflow, problem-solving, and ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Requires past experience with audio, video and lighting installations plus least 5 years of related experience.  Strong communication and organizational skills.  Must be confident leading a team and managing logistics in a fast-paced, public-facing environment. Professional, proactive, and calm under pressure.
  • PROGRESSIVE WAGES:  Event Lead

    • $50hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $52/hr TIER2 after 10 successful shifts
    • $54/hr TIER3 after 20 successful shifts

PLUS PERKS & ADDED INCENTIVES:

  • DUTIES: Helps install, focus, test, and strike lighting equipment according to the event plan. Supports the lighting crew by running cables, organizing gear, and assisting with on-site adjustments during production.

POSITION: Audio Tech Assistants   x 7 positions available

TEMP: Carpenters and Trades

Apply NowLoads of different projects throughout Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish require the help of labourers, carpenters, drywallers and trades of all experience levels building fine homes and assisting with completing the renovations of restaurants and hotels. Requires good physical fitness, willingness to get your hands dirty and work hard plus a great attitude. Pays up to $50+/hour plus vac pay and bonuses based on experience / trade certifications.

  • DATES: Shifts available on weekdays on an ongoing basis *CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE!
  • HOURS:  Typically starting between 8am-9am for 6-10 hours (hours over 8 get overtime pay of x1.5)
  • LOCATION: Squamish, Whistler & Pemberton
  • DUTIES: Assisting with traditional carpentry and construction duties on a variety of job sites.  Carpentry duties  may include framing, finishing, interior and exterior cupboard work, general labour and basic construction duties at a job site.   For painters, this may include sanding, painting frames, interior and exterior general painting.  Trades and other skilled shift duties will vary.  Temp shifts include detailed information on the duties for each individual shift, so you can decide if you want to work it!
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: We have assignments for all skill levels -from beginners to senior trades.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel-toed boots required.  Work gloves and basic hand tools are often recommended.

WAGES:  $30 to $50/hr + 4% vacation pay + BONUSES

General labourers are always much needed in the Sea-to-Sky.  We have plenty of shifts available in Whistler,  Squamish, and Pemberton to assist with local renovations, construction projects, events and landscaping.  This is a great way to earn extra income, or even try out a new company.  Long-term positions are also available to employees who are interested in staying on, but there’s no commitment required to try out a variety of new job sites!

  • HOURS: Flexible start times with options to start in the morning, mid day or even the afternoon.

  • DUTIES INCLUDE: Involves physical labour and often heavy lifting.  For example, construction labourers assist with general labour and basic construction tasks at job sites that may include using hand and power tools,  basic carpentry tasks, cleaning, organizing, moving materials, heavy lifting and pitching in where needed.    While event labourers help set up and take down staging, gates, tents, chairs, tables and other furniture or equipment.
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (30-50lbs) and be on your feet all day.  Prior construction or work site experience is always beneficial and often leads to higher wages.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS: STEEL-TOED BOOTS ARE USUALLY REQUIRED! Work gloves, hard hat, and visi-vest are also beneficial on construction sites but not always required.

Responsibilities Include: 

The Industrial Painter is responsible for surface preparation, application of industrial coatings, and ultra high-quality finishing of rail vehicles and components in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. This role supports refurbishment, repair, and new build programs for passenger and freight rolling stock.

  • Perform surface preparation activities including cleaning, degreasing, sanding, grinding, masking, and abrasive blasting as required.
  • Inspect surfaces for defects, corrosion, or damage and report issues prior to coating application.
  • Ensure surfaces meet required preparation standards before painting.
  • Apply industrial paints and coatings using spray equipment, rollers, and brushes as required.
  • Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and project requirements.
  • Apply primers, intermediate coats, and topcoats to specified thickness and finish requirements.
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs to existing coatings as required.
  • Ensure coating work meets specified thickness, adhesion, and finish quality standards.
  • Support inspections and quality checks, including visual inspection and coating thickness measurement.
  • Identify and correct defects such as runs, sags, holidays, or incomplete coverage.
  • Complete coating and production documentation accurately and on time.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to coatings, chemicals, ventilation, and PPE.
  • Coordinate with welders, mechanics, electricians, and supervisors to support production sequencing.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to coating processes and quality.

Harvester, Customer Deliveries and Driver

The Brew Creek Centre and Farm  has an opening for a new driver who will assist their team to harvest, pack and deliver their freshly grown, local produce to restaurants in Whistler, Squamish and Vancouver.   Ideally suited to someone who enjoys working with people – both as part of a team as well as with customers.   The position is year-round, 3 days a week and offers an opportunity to work some trial shifts so you can decide if the role is right for you.

  • DATES: Various – Mon-Fri usually (some weekends)

  • DUTIES INCLUDE: Interior and exterior painting and prep of commercial buildings and homes. Working on ladders or on aerials. Assisting with moving materials, site setup, cleanup and pitching in where needed.
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum 1-2 years experience painting professionally is preferred but not required. Fall arrest training or aerial platform operating ticket is an asset. Physically fit, mobile and able to lift heavy loads (30lbs) and work on your feet for the duration of shift. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • WAGES: $27-$42/hr based on experience + 4% vacation pay
