Whistler Personnel’s Trades Division specializes in assisting landscapers and other trades in finding the right long-term, short-term or temporary opportunity to suite their lifestyle, income and professional needs.
About the Roles we Offer: 
- Flexible Schedules: Choose between temp assignments, full-time or part-time positions. Enjoy flexible schedules, optional 4-day work weeks or overtime opportunities if that’s what you are looking for.
- Seasonal Cleanups: Positions go until there’s snow on the ground – typically mid-November, and start up again in the spring when the ground thaws.
- Top Wages: We negotiate very competitive wages reflective of experience on behalf of each candidate.
- Trial Shifts Available: We can arrange for interviews or on-the-job trial shifts with a few companies so you can “try before you apply”.
- Training Available: Advance your skills with opportunities to learn the finer points of the trade.

- Choice of Job Sites: We can make introductions for skilled workers looking to work on specific job sites or requiring certain perks and benefits.
Temp Shifts Now Available!
- DATES: Starting Immediately. Pick the dates you want to work. Completely flexible schedule.
- HOURS: Flexible start times – usually around 8am or 9am for 6-8 hours.
- LOCATION: Outdoor job sites in Whistler primarily.
- DUTIES INCLUDE: Assisting with fall grooming and general landscaping tasks that may include moving of materials, hauling of soil and general cleanup. Involves physical labour and heavy lifting.
- SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (30lbs) and be on your feet all day. Prior landscaping experience beneficial but not always required. Now might be the perfect time to try your hand at something new!
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS: Steel toed or sturdy hiking boots recommended. Work gloves and hard hat are also beneficial.
Temp Worker Wages: $20– $27 /hour
Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
- BASIC LANDSCAPING LABOURERS:
- Tier 1 – $20/hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 2 – $22/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 3 – $23/hr after 20 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- EXPERIENCED LANDSCAPERS W/ PPE:
- Tier 1 – $24/hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 2 – $26/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- Tier 3 – $27/hr after 20 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
- PLUS additional wages available for Lead Hands.
- Successful Shifts = be on time, work hard and make our clients happy!
- All previous shifts worked in any position with WPS count towards a higher Tier for all future shifts.
