TEMP: Housekeepers and Cleaners

Shifts for temp housekeepers, cleaners and housepersons are abound throughout Whistler, and they’re an absolutely excellent way to supplement your income whenever you have a free day! Experience is not usually required, and should you have experience, let us know—it pays an extra $3/hr! It’s totally up to you what shifts you want to work, so enjoy that full control of your work schedule to make the most of the Sea-to-Sky!

POSITIONS: Housekeepers, housepersons, overnight cleaners
DATES: Daily shifts are available on an ongoing basis
HOURS: Morning, evening & overnight shifts for 6-8 hours.
LOCATION: Whistler
WAGES: $21-$28/hr + 4% vacation pay

TIMES: 8am-9.30am starts, usually running for 6-8hrs
DUTIES: Assisting with the cleaning of rooms, removal of linens and garbage, stocking of supplies and pitching in where needed.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed. Experience is not usually required, though experience can mean an extra $3/hr!
WAGE: $20-$28/hr + 4% vacation pay

Assistant housekeeper (No experience required)

- PROBY (Tier 1) = $21/hr to start
- REGULAR (Tier 2) = $23/hr after 10 successful shifts
- HERO (Tier 3) = $25/hr after 20 successful shifts

Experienced housekeeper (6+ months prior housekeeping experience required):

- PROBY (Tier 1) = $24/hr to start
- REGULAR (Tier 2) = $26/hr after 10 successful shifts
- HERO (Tier 3) = $28/hr after 20 successful shifts

*Initial shift will be used to verify experience and cleaning skills by our clients.

Housepersons/Stewards:

TIMES: 9am-5pm
DUTIES: Assisting with the delivery of supplies to rooms for guests, restocking of carts, shelves and linens, cleaning public areas, removal of garbage and happy to pitch in where needed.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: No experience required. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
WAGE: $20-$24/hr + 4% vacation pay
- PROBY (Tier 1) = $20/hr to start
- REGULAR (Tier 2) = $22/hr after 10 successful shifts
- HERO (Tier 3) = $24/hr after 20 successful shifts

Night Cleaners (Graveyard Shift = an extra $2/hour!):

TIMES: Starting around 10:30pm and working overnight
DUTIES: Cleaning public areas, washrooms and restaurants. Vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing and general cleaning where required.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: No experience required. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
WAGE: $20-$24/hr + 4% vacation pay

Beekeepers & Hive Management

Ensure Hive Future is looking for motivated and hands on individuals to fill the role of Beekeeper and Hive Management at locations Whistler during the summer season.

This is a fieldwork-heavy role that involves hive management, equipment building, and scientific data collection. Public-facing duties (e.g., tours or guest interaction) may happen occasionally. Looking for up to 6 individuals to work the two months. Additional roles at Bowen Island are available as well.

POSITION: JUNIOR & PREP COOKS (1-2 yrs experience)

DUTIES INCLUDE: Prepping, cooking and assisting with basic cooking tasks. Storage of ingredients and pitching in where needed.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in a professional kitchen (min 1 year). Very good knife and basic cooking skills are a must. Hard-working, friendly team player, happy to pitch in where needed; Food Safe certification very beneficial but not required.

POSITION: KITCHEN HANDS & DISHWASHERS

DUTIES INCLUDE: Assisting with kitchen prep as well as cleaning and distribution of dishes, cooking equipment, and small wares for local bars, restaurants and hotels.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS: No prior experience required. Hard-working, friendly team player happy to pitch in where needed; physically fit and able to lift heavy loads (up to 40lbs); Food Safe and WHIMIS certification beneficial.

TEMP: Event Crew & Hosts

Events are back and we need event crew to make them AWESOME! We are so excited to be working with events again and will be looking for EVENT CREWS to assist with local events & weddings. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:	A typical day for the lead hand comprises loading the trailer at the yard, driving to the venue, liaising with venue staff or clients, setting up tents (which can vary from 2 to 10 hours), and returning to the yard for potential reloading of equipment. TEMP: Farm Planter and Workers – Pemberton *housing avail

A beautiful organic farm in the Pemberton Valley, Blue House Organics, needs help getting this seasons’ crop planted. They have openings for 8 farm workers who can start right away and don’t mind getting their hands dirty – literally!

This is a great opportunity to work outdoors for the next 4-6 weeks or even all summer long. Schedule is flexible and wage is $25/hr based with prior experience plus a $500 BONUS at the end of the planting project for hard workers.

About the Role:

Shifts are Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm with plenty of breaks.
Flexible schedule, working 3-5 days a week (full time is preferred).
Starting immediately until planting is complete in 4-6 weeks with an opportunity to stay until fall if interested.

Painters

Student Works Painting is looking for painters to work on interior and exterior projects in Whistler and Pemberton for the summer. Previous experience is an asset, but not required. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:	Painting the interior and exterior of residential and some commercial spaces mostly in Whistler area and sometimes in Pemberton. Staining of decks and fences.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:	40 hours per week. 4 x 10s schedule from Monday to Thursday 8-6:30. This means every weekend is a long weekend! There is also the opportunity to work overtime or extra days here and there.
SALARY / WAGE RANGE:	Wages based on price per piece averaging $24 – 40/hour based on experience.
