TEMP: Audio, Video, and Sound Tech Event Crews

Apply NowWe have a few big events this summer requiring experienced Audio, Video, and Sound Techs.  Join our temp program and pickup the shifts you want – choose your own schedule and events all summer long!   Pays up to $50/hour plus vac pay for experienced techs and there are also opportunities for bonuses and overtime.

  • POSITIONS: Audio, Video, and Sound Techs
  • DATES:
    • Shifts available all summer long an ongoing basis *CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE!
    • Between Aug 6 to 17th 2026 we have over 126 AV Tech shifts for a major corporate event with separate wages! 
  • HOURS:
    • Choose your start time –  morning, afternoon & evening are available starts plus overnight shifts from time to time
  • LOCATION:
    • Primarily in Whistler but also in Squamish & Pemberton from time to time.
  • DUTIES:
    • Video Assistant / LED Techs: Assists with the setup, testing, operation and strike of video equipment, including LED panels, displays, and related cabling. Helps troubleshoot technical issues, monitors equipment during the event, and ensures visuals run smoothly.
    • Audio Assistant: Supports the audio team by setting up and striking microphones, speakers, mixers, cabling, and other sound equipment. Helps during live operation by monitoring levels, assisting with adjustments, and resolving basic technical issues.
    • Lighting Assistant: Helps install, focus, test, and strike lighting equipment according to the event plan. Supports the lighting crew by running cables, organizing gear, and assisting with on-site adjustments during production.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: 
    • Requires 1+ years of related experience + steel-toed boots.
  • WAGES: 
    • Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
    • SUPERHERO BONUSES of an extra $2-$4/hr are often offered for last-minute shifts!
    • All wages also receive an extra  4% vacation pay on top.

JUNIOR TECHS (1 years experience)

    • $38/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $40/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)
    • $42/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts (Base + $4/hr Bonus)

EXPERIENCED TECHS (2+ years experience)

    • $42/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $44/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)
    • $46/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts (Base + $4/hr Bonus)

SENIOR TECHS (3+ years experience)

    • $46/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $48/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)
    • $50/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts (Base + $4/hr Bonus)

  • DUTIES:  : Oversees the on-site crew and helps coordinate the setup, execution, and teardown of event operations. Acts as the main point of contact for workflow, problem-solving, and ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:   Requires at least 5 years of related experience including hands-on knowledge of audio, video & lighting installations + steel-toed boots.

 

  • PERKS:
    • Work all 10 shifts over 12 days and earn an additional $2/hr Superhero Bonus on all hours worked.

TEMP: Carpenters and Trades

Apply NowLoads of different projects throughout Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish require the help of labourers, carpenters, drywallers and trades of all experience levels building fine homes and assisting with completing the renovations of restaurants and hotels. Requires good physical fitness, willingness to get your hands dirty and work hard plus a great attitude. Pays up to $50+/hour plus vac pay and bonuses based on experience / trade certifications.

  • DATES: Shifts available on weekdays on an ongoing basis *CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE!
  • HOURS:  Typically starting between 8am-9am for 6-10 hours (hours over 8 get overtime pay of x1.5)
  • LOCATION: Squamish, Whistler & Pemberton
  • DUTIES: Assisting with traditional carpentry and construction duties on a variety of job sites.  Carpentry duties  may include framing, finishing, interior and exterior cupboard work, general labour and basic construction duties at a job site.   For painters, this may include sanding, painting frames, interior and exterior general painting.  Trades and other skilled shift duties will vary.  Temp shifts include detailed information on the duties for each individual shift, so you can decide if you want to work it!
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: We have assignments for all skill levels -from beginners to senior trades.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Steel-toed boots required.  Work gloves and basic hand tools are often recommended.

WAGES:  $30 to $50/hr + 4% vacation pay + BONUSES

    • Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!

  • DATES: Daily shifts on an ongoing basis based on events happening in the area.
  • DUTIES:
    • Event Installation/Stage Hands – Work under direction to support production teams and keep the event running safely and on schedule, which may include general labour, set up and takedown of event staging, gates, tents, signage, and other aspects of event preparation, preparing the venue, and running errands as needed for the event leads.
