Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour! After you complete 10 probationary shifts, you get a $2/hr wage bump – then you get another bump after 20 shifts for being a HERO!

MINIMUM BASE WAGES—no experience needed:

  • Proby (Tier 1) = $20hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
  • Regular (Tier2) = $22/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3) = $24/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

HAVE EXPERIENCE?—earn higher base wages! For example;

  • Experienced Room Attendants currently: $24-$28/hr
  • Experienced Construction  Labourers Currently: $25-$29/hr
  • Carpenters & Skilled Trades Currently: $30-$44/hr

TEMP: Labourers

General labourers are always much needed in the Sea-to-Sky.  We have plenty of shifts available in Whistler,  Squamish, and Pemberton to assist with local renovations, construction projects, events and landscaping.  This is a great way to earn extra income, or even try out a new company.  Long-term positions are also available to employees who are interested in staying on, but there’s no commitment required to try out a variety of new job sites!

    DATES: Pick the shifts you would like to work from our available dates. Full-time and part-time hours available, dependent on the client!

  • HOURS: Flexible start times with options to start in the morning, mid day or even the afternoon.
  • LOCATION: Job sites throughout Whistler, Squamish & Pemberton.
  • DUTIES INCLUDE: Involves physical labour and often heavy lifting.  For example, construction labourers assist with general labour and basic construction tasks at job sites that may include using hand and power tools,  basic carpentry tasks, cleaning, organizing, moving materials, heavy lifting and pitching in where needed.    While event labourers help set up and take down staging, gates, tents, chairs, tables and other furniture or equipment.
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (30-50lbs) and be on your feet all day.  Prior construction or work site experience is always beneficial and often leads to higher wages.
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS: STEEL-TOED BOOTS ARE USUALLY REQUIRED! Work gloves, hard hat, and visi-vest are also beneficial on construction sites but not always required.

PROGRESSIVE WAGES: 

    • Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts* – the more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
    • HIGHER WAGES are also paid to employees with specific skills or experience.
    • SUPERHERO BONUSES of an extra $2-$4/hr are often offered for last-minute or hard-to-fill shifts!
    • All wages also receive an extra  4% vacation pay on top.

SKILLED  LABOUR (2+ years experience – must have steel toed boots)

    • $25/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $27/hr TIER2 after 10 successful shifts
    • $29/hr TIER3 after 20 successful shifts

GENERAL LABOUR  (No experience required – must have steel toed boots)

    • $22/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $24/hr TIER2 after 10 successful shifts

Responsibilities Include: 

Building Maintenance:

  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on all buildings, the maintenance building, and any additional structures.
  • Conduct repairs such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and general upkeep.
  • Ensure heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and water systems are functioning properly.

Infrastructure Oversight:

  • Maintain and monitor the septic systems and water treatment systems for functionality and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain access roads and pathways, including clearing snow in winter and ensuring safety year-round.

Farm & Outdoor Space:

  • Assist in the upkeep of the retreat’s farm, including some animal care, basic farming duties, and maintaining farm equipment.

Light Equipment & Tool Maintenance:

  • Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on light equipment (e.g., lawnmowers, tractors, snow blowers).

  • Maintain an inventory of tools and parts, and coordinate with suppliers for repairs or replacements.

Seasonal Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the property for seasonal changes, including managing snow removal, salting pathways, clearing drainage systems in the fall, and landscaping in the spring and summer.

Emergency Response:

  • Be on-call for property emergencies such as power outages, water or septic system failures, or storm damage, responding promptly to ensure minimal disruption for guests.

Guest Interaction:

  • Interact with retreat guests as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety by responding to maintenance requests promptly.

Hardscape Landscaping Manager

Super Natural Landscapes is looking for an experienced Hardscape Manager to join their team.  Offering $45 per hour, 3-days weekends, company vehicle, plus working with a fantastic team who loves to ‘work hard & play hard’.

JOB TITLE: Hardscape Manager
LOCATION: Whistler, BC
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY:
  • Full-time, Monday to Thursday schedule, 10 hours per day.
  • Seasonal: April to November with the opportunity for long-term.
  • $45/hour to start depending on experience.
  • Company work truck available.
  • Build some of Whistler’s most creative and high-end landscapes.
THE PERFECT CANDIDATE – Qualifications & Skills:
  • Strong leadership and management experience.
  • Install experience: concrete and porcelain pavers, concrete slabs, concrete forming.
  • Mini Excavator and Skid Steer operating experience.
  • Professional sub-grade work experience.
  • Strong Organizational & Time Management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 drivers license.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Day to day operations of the Construction/Hardscape division.
  • Schedule & lead team members including on-site supervision and delegating daily tasks.
  • Installation including concrete and porcelain pavers, concrete slabs, concrete forming, etc.
  • Operate mini excavator and skid steer plus other general equipment.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and requirements while maintaining an organized job site
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
  • Monday to Friday; 7:00am to 5:30pm.
  • May be required to work other days as needed to complete projects.
SALARY / WAGE RANGE:
  • $45 per hour to start based on experience.

Temp Shifts Now Available!

  • DATES: Starting Immediately. Pick the dates you want to work.  Completely flexible schedule.
  • HOURS: Flexible start times – usually around 8am or 9am for 6-8 hours.
  • LOCATION: Outdoor job sites in Whistler primarily.
  • DUTIES INCLUDE: Assisting with fall grooming and general landscaping tasks that may include moving of materials, hauling of soil and general cleanup.  Involves physical labour and heavy lifting.
  • SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Physically fit, ready to work hard, able to lift heavy loads (30lbs) and be on your feet all day.  Prior landscaping experience beneficial but not always required. Now might be the perfect time to try your hand at something new!
  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS / REQUIREMENTS: Steel toed or sturdy hiking boots recommended.  Work gloves and hard hat are also beneficial.

Temp Worker Wages:  $20– $27 /hour

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed.  The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!

  • BASIC LANDSCAPING LABOURERS:
    • Tier 1 – $20/hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
    • Tier 2 – $22/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
    • Tier 3 – $23/hr after 20 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
  • EXPERIENCED LANDSCAPERS W/ PPE:
    • Tier 1 – $24/hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
    • Tier 2 – $26/hr after 10 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
    • Tier 3 – $27/hr after 20 Successful Shifts plus 4% vacation pay
    • PLUS additional wages available for Lead Hands.
  • Successful Shifts = be on time, work hard and make our clients happy!
  • All previous shifts worked in any position with WPS count towards a higher Tier for all future shifts.
