Now hiring for a  Lead Carpenter and/or Experienced Carpenter at a very busy construction company specializing in renovations, commercial and larger residential builds.   Perfect for someone keen to be part of a supportive team who will support your development and lifestyle.   Offering a competitive wage starting in the range $45-$55/hr with room for growth for a Lead Carpenter plus flexible schedule options.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Full-time, year round positions available in Whistler BC.
  • Schedule is typically Mon-Friday and enjoy stats and holidays off.
  • Flexible schedule options of 4-5 days per week if desired.
  • Competitive wage in the range of $45-$55 for Lead Carpenters or $40-$45 for Experienced Carpenters with room for growth.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • 3-5 years experience is preferred – more experience translates to high wages.
  • Red Seal Certification in Carpentry is very beneficial but not required.
  • Situational Leadership skills are an asset.
  • Tactical problem-solving and strong communication skills are key for a Lead Carpenter position.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Hands-on carpentry on the job site plus assist and direct junior workers and ensure project stays on target.
  • Job sites include lots of renovations, framing, forming rough-ins, multi-dwelling-unit projects in Whistler primarily.
  • Opportunities for remote work are available.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between the Site crew and the Site Supervisor to ensure goals are aligned.
  • Reinforce strict safety protocols on-site, ensuring the crew operates tools and equipment correctly and maintains a clean workspace.
  • Interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications, converting them into clear, actionable instructions for the team.
  • Address and troubleshoot immediate site challenges or discrepancies in the field, escalating major issues to the Supervisor with proposed solutions.
