About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- Full-time, Part-time, Casual/On-call positions available with a very flexible schedule.
- Certified Teachers can earn $93,000 per year depending on experience.
- Health benefits including extended health/dental, pension plan and monthly gym pass.
- Extended vacation and holiday time off including paid Christmas and Spring Break holidays and 2 months off over the summer.

- Work directly with First Nations Community and their families.
- Located 45-50 minutes from Whistler, 20 min from Pemberton.
- A criminal record check for all positions will be required.
- Out of Province candidates are encouraged to apply as well; potential relocation funds available for the right candidate.
The Perfect Candidate:
- BC Teaching Certificate and Membership in the Teacher Regulation Branch plus familiarity with BC’s new curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to accommodate the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Use a strength-based, student centered approach to plan engaging and educational lessons and courses.
- Motivate students and adjust instructional strategies accordingly; skilled in developing instructional strategies based on essential skills and engaging for students.
- Positive thinker and proactive team player.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills.
- Experienced and/or interested in integrating place-based, outdoor learning practices in educational delivery.
Responsibilities Include:
- Teach various subjects at an Elementary level.
- Implement strong classroom management strategies.
- Committed to excellent instructional preparation and consistent record keeping.
- Timely reporting to administration when necessary e.g. report cards, attendance records and data request.
- Can use data to drive classroom/school–wide improvement initiatives.
- Maintain open and consistent communication with students and their families about their academic progress.
- Can operate and teach numeracy and literacy in collaboration with others according to the school’s strategies for improving academic outcomes.
- Be a positive team player committed to the belief that all children can learn at high levels.
- Commit to ongoing professional development.
