The Whistler Golf Club’s – Palmer’s Gallery Bar & Grill, is looking for Line Cooks to join their team. Offering seasonal and full-time hours from May to October, starting wage of $26+ per hour depending on experience and working within a fun team environment! Ideally suited for someone who has some experience working on a line, is reliable and self motivated.
About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- Wages ranging between $26+ per hour depending on previous experience PLUS tips.
- Full-time, seasonal – May to October/November.
- Shift work required, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Hours of operation: 11am to 8pm so no late nights!
- Free meal while on shift.
- Golfing privileges available.
The Perfect Candidate:
- 2-4 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Some schooling or professional training beneficial.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Able to follow all recipes and guidelines for timely food service to guests.
- Knife and food prep skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Food Safe and WHIMIS certification required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide top quality preparation, presentation and over the counter service of all food to guests.
- Ensure that food is received, stored, handled, prepared, and presented in a timely and hygienic manner.
- Prepare food for the following day.
- Responsible for keeping the kitchen area clean, tidy and organized; including the freezers and coolers.
- Stock and maintain a clean service areas.
- Assist in the ordering and inventory of food.
- Administer proper opening and closing procedure for the restaurant.
- When requested provide guests with accurate information with regards to menu ingredients.
- Maintain effective communication with guest and fellow team members.
