Coast Construction, an established Whistler construction company, is looking to fill a dynamic position that works closely with Owner/General Manager and Senior Management Team in leading the company’s administrative, personnel and recruitment responsibilities.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- 25 to 30 hours per week: 5 days per week, 5 to 6 hours per day with some flexibility.
- Starting wage of $29 per hour depending on experience.

The Perfect Candidate:
- 3 to 5+ years experience in a human resources and administrative position is preferred.
- Human Resources, Business Administration or other related training and certification is required.
- Strong in-house full-cycle recruitment experience with comprehensive knowledge of employment standards, human rights, and health & safety.
- Motivated, self-starter who is able to achieve goals with minimal supervision.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to foster collaborative and positive interactions across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to maintain a flexible and composed demeanor while interacting with others, skillfully navigate complex issues, and provide objective coaching to employees and management.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail skills.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality in handling sensitive HR matters.
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Human Resources: full-cycle recruitment process across all project locations:
- Preparing job ads, screening candidates, interviewing, orientation and onboarding, termination process.
- Employee management and conflict resolution with the help of the leadership team.
- Maintain compliance at a government level, ensure updated knowledge of all industry-related policies and procedures.
- Employee benefits administration.
- Contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
- Coordinate staff birthday & employee milestone acknowledgments.
- Serve as HR Liaison on the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
- Office Management: general office responsibilities including managing correspondence (email/phone), data entry, office supply inventory, oversee and implement office procedures.
- General Business: support owner and GM with day to day responsibilities, attend safety committee and site leader meetings (minutes, manage action items).
