POSITION: CSO/OFA Level 3
SCHEDULE: November 21, 2024. 7:30a-4:00p
DUTIES: Ensuring all workers on site are in a safe environment and following correct safety procedures. Conducting daily site inspections to source potential hazards on site, exposure to toxic material, potential electrocution, and general risk assessment. Monitoring the safety compliance of workers and contractors on site. Ensuring all incidents are reported to Management and maintaining and preparing documents and reports. Administering first aid when necessary. Performing other duties and pitching in where needed.
REQUIRED: CSO or OFA3 certification with an experience on a construction site. Good communication skills, both written and oral. Organized, ability to keep detailed records. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations. Experience as a tradesperson is beneficial.
ATTIRE: Steel-toed boots and PPE are required.

WAGES: $30 to $34 per hour plus vacation pay.

DUTIES: A CSO will conduct safety orientation for new workers, and give crew-talks to keep personnel informed about safety. They will also conduct and document site inspections, site hazard audits, maintain site safety plans to ensure that work being done on a site follows safety regulation, and pitch in where needed.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have an advanced certification = OFA level 3 or equivalent. Physically fit, mobile and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.

DUTIES: General farm labour, assisting with weeding, irrigation, clearing on an organic farm in Pemberton. Raking and shoveling will be involved and pitching in where needed. Requires being outdoors and on your feet all day.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: No prior experience necessary. Enjoys working outdoors and getting their hands dirty. Physically fit, friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
ATTIRE: STEEL TOED BOOTS are required for farm labour shifts (but not the fall harvesting shifts). Outdoor shifts so dress accordingly – wear sun protection and waterproof layers. Bring water bottle, lunch and snacks. Rubber boots and gardening gloves recommended – and bring a clean, dry pair of shoes as well. Long hair tied back.

A beautiful organic farm in the Pemberton Valley, Blue House Organics, needs help getting this seasons’ crop planted. They have openings for 8 farm workers who can start right away and don’t mind getting their hands dirty – literally!

This is a great opportunity to work outdoors for the next 4-6 weeks or even all summer long. Schedule is flexible and wage is $25/hr based with prior experience plus a $500 BONUS at the end of the planting project for hard workers.

About the Role:

Shifts are Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm with plenty of breaks.
Flexible schedule, working 3-5 days a week (full time is preferred).
Starting immediately until planting is complete in 4-6 weeks with an opportunity to stay until fall if interested.
Beautiful organic farm in Pemberton where you can learn about growing and harvesting beautiful organic veggies: kale, broccoli, broccolini & beats.
Affordable Housing is available on the farm: $200/week for a shared room or $250/week for a private room.

A local brewery is looking for a temporary Bookkeeper for the next 2 to 3 months. $34/hour plus the chance to work within an awesome team and environment.

POSITION: Full Cycle Bookkeeper

- Visa statement and bank statement reconciliation.
- All aspects of Payroll including new hire entry, timesheet management and entry to payroll software, statutory holiday calculation, staff benefit calculations, WCB reporting.
- QuickBooks Online and EKOS– ensuring consistency of set up and accuracy of information, for Supplier, Customer, Account and Inventory records.
- All government tax filings – PST, GST, Excise, Malt Levy
- Also assist with other general administrative tasks and pitching in where needed in a busy little office.

Summer Program Leader

Join an exciting team of people dedicated to making sports and recreation experiences come to life for athletes with physical/cognitive disabilities and neurodiversity. For over 20 years, the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program Society has been removing barriers to adventure for people with disabilities and neurodiversity, offering a full range of adaptive sports programs and a dynamic learning centre in Whistler, BC. Canada. We currently operate in Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton and Mount Currie. We also serve locals from across B.C. and visitors from Canada and around the world.With over 100+ dedicated volunteers and 50+ coaches, we provide over 3,000 lessons a year and 18 different programs.

Employment Type:	Temporary/Seasonal
Summary	Full-time, temporary from May 29th to Aug 25th. 37.5 hours per week. $21 per hour depending on experience.
Wage Range	$21 per hour.
Perks & Benefits	Summer Program leaders receive free training in a variety of sports and the chance to make a difference in our community.
Schedule	This is a temporary role from May 29, 2023 – August 25, 2023. The Summer Program Leader will fulfill 37.5 hours per week, 5 days a week. Whistler Adaptive Sports runs programs 7 days a week, so some weekend work may be necessary. There are no evening shifts aside from the occasional special event.

Qualifications:	Ability to instruct individuals in group-based outdoor sport and recreation activities. Knowledge of a variety of activities including; hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, SUP, physical literacy, strength and conditioning and adaptive sports. A willingness to learn to learn these sports is essential. Some knowledge of various physical disabilities and neurological diversities is an asset. Preference given to those who are currently certified in CPR B and First Aid (will include in training if not current). Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft 365 an asset. Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident between 15 and 30 years of age, as the position is funded through a Canada Summer Jobs grant. A valid driver’s license is required. As a requirement, the successful applicant must obtain a satisfactory criminal record check prior to beginning employment.
Responsibilities	The Summer Program Leader plays an integral role in the summer operations of Whistler Adaptive. In the summer, we offer hiking, mountain biking (2 & 3 wheel), paddle sports (canoeing, SUP and kayaking), sailing, rowing, yoga, strength & conditioning, and more to people with cognitive and physical disabilities and neurodiversity. The Summer Program leaders will help our coaches assess students, determine adaptive equipment needs, set goals and plan lessons, lead activities, document progress, maintain records, and assist our coaches to make recommendations for future programming. They will also assist with general administration, marketing, and fundraising as needed. This position will report to the Executive Director.

TEMP: Administrative Assistant

A local government organization is looking for an organized Administrative Assistant for an 3 to 6 month contract position. Ideally suited for someone who service oriented with versatile administrative skills.

POSITION: Administrative Assistant

SCHEDULE: 3 to 6 month contract with the potential for long-term. Starting ASAP.
- Schedule is based on a 9-day fortnight
- Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm (first week); Tuesday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm (second week).
- NOTES: Shifts are expected to last 8 hours, with 9 days worked biweekly. Preference will be given to workers who can commit to more shifts weekly for the duration of the contract (3-6months at least)
LOCATION: Nesters Road, Whistler, BC.
DUTIES: Assisting with the general administrative duties and data entry and pitching in where needed for the garage and stores team at the Public Works Yard and Central Services offices.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: At least 2 years of administrative experience. Computer savy, good eye for detail, typing speed of at least 50 wpm and strong communication skills. A well-rounded team player who is friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
WAGES:
- Experienced Administrators (2+ years exp): $23 to $26 per hour + vacation pay.
- Senior level Administrators (5+ yrs exp): $26 to $29 per hour + vacation pay.

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour and many shifts include extra bonuses per hour. Ask us for more details!

Experienced Administrators (2+ years experience):

Proby (Tier 1) = $23/hr to start
Regular (Tier2) = $25/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
Hero (Tier 3) = $26/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

Senior level Administrators (5+ years experience):

Proby (Tier 1) = $26hr to start
Regular (Tier2) = $28/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
Hero (Tier 3) = $29/hr after 20 Successful Shifts
