Join in on one of Whistler’s most exciting and extravagant parties:  Whistler PRIDE and SKI Festival.    Born  as Gay Ski Week over 30 years ago, it’s a  celebration of diversity and acceptance attended by folks from over 26 nations.  And a celebration it is!!   Pool parties, a comedy night and the notorious SNOWBALL…  it’s a week packed full of fun that welcomes EVERYONE!

*Lots of fun paid and volunteer positions are also available:  Event CoordinatorsEvent Hosts and Crew , Bookkeeper,  Life Guards,  Go-Go Dancers and more!

Full Cycle Bookkeeper – part-time, temporary with year-round potential. 

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assisting with full-cycle bookkeeping in the lead-up, during and after the event.
    • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and backlog from the year.
    •  Programs used are ShowPass ticketing site, Square Payments and Quickbooks Online
  • Qualifications:
    • 2+ years experience as a full-cycle bookkeeper is required.
    • Strong knowledge and proficient use of QuickBooks.
    • Knowledge of ShowPass and Square is beneficial but not a requirement.
    • Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.
  • Other Details:  Opportunity to work-from-home or on site.  Must have own laptop.
  • Schedule:  Flexible part-time hours – build your own schedule
    • 6-week contract position starting ASAP with potential to become year-round for the right candidate.
    • 10 to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
    • During the festival must be available to work 5 days per week, 4 hours per day, ideally late mornings.
    • Festival Dates are January 22nd to 30th, 2023.
    • Hybrid position working a blend of in-office and work from home.

Wages:  up to $31 per hour depending on years of experience.

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed.    The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!  After you complete 10 probationary shifts, you get a $2/hr wage bump – then you get another bump after 20 shifts for being a HERO!

    • Proby (Tier 1) = $28/hr to start
    • Regular (Tier2) = $30/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
    • Hero (Tier 3) = $31/hr after 20 Successful Shifts
    • Plus 4% Vacaction Pay is added to every cheque.
