Join us at one of Whistler’s most exciting and extravagant parties:  Whistler PRIDE and SKI Festival.    Born  as Gay Ski Week over 30 years ago, it’s a  celebration of diversity and acceptance attended by folks from over 26 nations.  And a celebration it is!!   Pool parties, a comedy night and the notorious SNOWBALL…  it’s a week packed full of fun that welcomes EVERYONE!

*Lots of fun paid and volunteer positions are also available:  Event CoordinatorsEvent Hosts and Crew , Bookkeeper,  Life Guards,  Go-Go Dancers and more!

Office Support Team / Box Office Coordinators

  • Duties: Sell and distribute tickets to event attendees.   Provide admin support to the event organizers, team leads, venues and box office at the event office/base of communications.
  • Qualifications:
    • Strong office coordination skills with at least 2 years related experience.
    • Solid verbal and written communication skills (English)
    • Very strong admin skills including MS Office & Excel.
    • Logistics expert (loves puzzles and juggling) and problem solver who takes initiative and can work independently.

Dates & Times: preference will be given to workers who can do all or most days

Schedule:  Full Time (40+hrs/wk) Saturday, January 21 to Sunday, January 29.

  • Sat, Jan 21: 1:00pm to 6:00pm
  • Sun, Jan 22: 11:00am to 7:00pm
  • Mon, Jan 23: 2pm to 6:30pm
  • Tues, Jan 24: 2pm to 6:30pm
  • Wed, Jan 25: 1:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Thurs, Jan 26: 1:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Fri, Jan 27: 1:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Sat, Jan 28: 1:30pm to 6:30pm
  • Sun, Jan 29: 11:00am to 4:00pm
  • Schedule Notes:
    • These shifts will be shared by 2 team members and scheduled based on availability (eg. 4-5 shifts each)
    • Must be available for at least 4 of the shifts listed above to work this assignment.
    • End times may vary.

Wages: $22 to $25 per hour. 

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed.    The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!  After you complete 10 probationary shifts, you get a $2/hr wage bump – then you get another bump after 20 shifts for being a HERO!

  • Proby (Tier 1) = $22/hr to start
  • Regular (Tier2) = $24/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3) = $25/hr after 20 Successful Shifts
  • Plus 4% Vacation Pay is added to every cheque.
