Youth Case Worker

Zero Ceiling, a non-profit organization who is dedicated to transforming the lives of young people who have experienced homelessness, is looking for a Youth Case Worker to join their team.

Offering $24 to $26 per hour to start plus health and wellness benefits and Whistler Blackcomb Winter & Summer recreation pass!

The Youth Case Worker supports young people as they exit homelessness. With a strengths-based approach, you will identify and meet the complex needs of marginalized young people and empower them to find stability and self-efficacy. You’ll provide flexible, unconditional support and build relationships founded on trust, empathy, and advocacy.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

• Full-time, year-round.
• Sunday to Wednesday, 37.5 hours per week plus 1 Thursday per month.
• Wage ranging $24 to $26/hr plus health and wellness benefits, 3 weeks paid vacation and 10 paid sick days.

The Perfect Candidate: 

• Experience: 2+ years in youth work, social work, or related field.
• Education: Social/youth work or equivalent lived experience.
• Case management experience required.
• Team oriented, passionate and enjoys meeting and connecting with people.
• Ability to self-motivate, work independently, and organize work and time efficiently.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of personal and professional boundaries and has strategies in place to support themselves in their own self-care and well- being while helping and supporting other people.
• Ability to navigate various government and social services agency to gather  information and support for participants of all ages and needs.
• A high level of written and oral communication skills. Computer proficiency, including word, excel, email & social media.
• Must have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with commercial insurance and a clean driving record.
• Must provide a clean criminal record check including vulnerable sector.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Be an advocate for W2L participants.
• Do weekly check-ins with managers and participants.
• Using our Supportive Employment Guide, facilitate monthly workplace meetings with manager and participant.
