Some exciting September Events are on the horizon, and we’re looking for GranFondo event crew NOW! We have over 40 shifts available for Event Crew to assist with these fun and exciting events!
RBC GranFondo Whistler is a cycling celebration with 6000 riders pedaling from Vancouver to Whistler on Sept 6th.
Progressive Wage of $20 to $28/hour plus bonuses, vacation pay, overtime rates and the potential for perks and rewards!
POSITION: Event Installers/Takedown
- DATES: Shifts available Thurs Sept 10-Sat Sept 12
- TIMES: AM and PM shifts avail ranging from 4-8hrs per day.
- Thurs Sept 10th = 2pm-6pm
- Fri Sept 11th = 9am-5pm
- Sat Sept 12th =10am-6pm
- LOCATION: Whistler, Lot 4
- DUTIES: Assisting with the setup and take down at the GranFondo event in Whistler village. Involves loading and unloading of supplies and pitching in where needed. Prior to the event, duties will include setting up infrastructure (bike racks, tables etc). On the event on Saturday 12th, duties will involve helping with bike coordination. After the event, duties will involve the take down of infrastructure.
- REQUIRED: Steel-toe boots required. Must be energetic, friendly, hard-working, and happy to pitch in where needed. Also must be physically capable to work on your feet for long periods and lift moderately heavy loads.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Free event T-Shirt! A meal will be provided at the end of each shift!
- WAGE: $22-$26/hr + 4% vacation pay
- Tier 1 (new hire) = $22/hr
- Tier2 (11+ shifts) = $26/hr
- Tier 3 (21+ shifts) = $28/hr
POSITION: General Event Crew
- DATES: Sat Sept 12th
- TIMES: 8am-4pm
- LOCATION: Whistler, Lot 4
- DUTIES: Assisting with general support throughout the event, which could include wayfinding as well as set-up and tear-down. Prior to the arrival of event participants, duties will include setting up infrastructure (bike racks, tables etc), then helping the volunteers and customer service support and whatever else is needed to keep the event running smoothly! After the event, duties will involve the take down of infrastructure.
- REQUIRED: Must be able to take direction. Physically fit, mobile and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Also must be physically capable to work on your feet for long periods and lift moderately heavy loads. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.

POSITION: AWARE Zero Waste Heroes
- DATES: Sat Sept 12th
- TIMES:
- 5.15am-9.15am (Horseshoe Bay)
- 5.45am-12.30pm (Britannia Beach)
- 6.30am-1.30pm (Alice Lake)
- 6.45am-2.15pm (Salt Shed)
- 7.15am-4pm (Brandywine)
- 7.45am-4pm (Callaghan)
- TRAINING: Training video supplied for paid self study before the event.
- DUTIES: Assist with manning the Zero Waste Stations along the course to provide education around reducing environmental impact for other volunteers and staff, motivation for riders, and sort recycling to ensure they end up in the appropriate processing areas! Your station will be next to the Nutrition Tent at each stop, and you’ll be in charge of managing your station throughout the event, whilst helping direct riders to dispose of their waste appropriately! Lastly, you’ll tear down post event and ensure all recycling is sorted, organized and ready to be transported to AWARE.
- REQUIRED: Must be energetic, friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed. A passion for reducing our footprint and environmental impact from big events is a plus! You’ll need your own transport to get to location.

- WAGE: $20-$24/hr + 4% vacation pay
- Tier 1 (new hire) = $20/hr
- Tier2 (11+ shifts) = $22/hr
- Tier 3 (21+ shifts) = $24/hr
- BONUS: +$2/hr EARLY BIRD BONUS for shifts starting before 7.30am + $15/day travel allowance for all shifts!
POSITION: Hornby Organics Rep
- DATES: Sat Sept 12th
- TIMES: 7am-2pm
- TRAINING: Wed Sept 9th between 10am-2pm (online training)
- LOCATION: Alice Lake
- DUTIES: You will acting as a representative for Hornby Organics at the rest stop at Alice Lake. Training will be provided so you’re fully educated on the awesome brand of affordable organic food that started from a small family farm on the gulf island of Hornby!
- REQUIRED: Must be energetic, friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed. Be ready to chat and keep up the energy at this rest stop! You’ll need your own transport to get to location.
- ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Free event T-Shirt!
- WAGE: $20-$24/hr + 4% vacation pay
- Tier 1 (new hire) = $20/hr
- Tier2 (11+ shifts) = $22/hr
- Tier 3 (21+ shifts) = $24/hr
- BONUS: +$2/hr EARLY BIRD BONUS + $15/day travel allowance!
POSITION: Bartender
- DATES: Sat Sept 12th
- TIMES: 8am-6pm (Overtime of x1.5 paid for hours over 8!)
- TRAINING: Online training required on a date TBC before the event.
- LOCATION: Whistler, Olympic Plaza
- DUTIES: You’ll be part of the bartending team tending a bar in the event VIP area, preparing tables, bar, glassware, etc. You will work with the team lead to serve all guests (up to 300), bus glassware, and clean-up as necessary. Afterwards, the team will be required to tear-down the bar.
- REQUIRED: SIR required and previous bartending experience! Friendly, professional, hard working and happy to pitch in where needed.

- WAGE: $24-$28/hr + 4% vacation pay
- Tier 1 (new hire) = $24/hr
- Tier2 (11+ shifts) = $26/hr
- Tier 3 (21+ shifts) = $28/hr
POSITION: Bike Coordinator
- DATES: Sat Sept 12th
- TIMES: 8.30am-4.30pm
- LOCATION: Whistler, Lot 4
- DUTIES: Assisting with the Bike Transportation activation at the RBC GranFondo Whistler event in Whistler village. Riders who pre-booked the shuttle will bring the bikes to the area. Bikes will then be tagged and organized based on pick-ups. You will then assist the moving company with wrapping and loading of bikes onto the moving trucks and pitching in where needed.
- REQUIRED: Must be able to take direction. Physically fit, mobile and able to work on your feet for the duration of the shift. Friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed.

POSITION: Everwell Drink Rep
- DATES: Sat Sept 12th
- TIMES: 11am-3pm (Whistler)
- TRAINING: Date TBC (online training)
- LOCATION: Whistler, Lot 4
- DUTIES: You will be acting as a representative for a product line available during the race. Training will be provided so you’re fully educated, and can provide great info on this awesome brand! Be prepared to chat and engage people throughout your shift, and potentially offer samples.
- REQUIRED: Must be chatty, energetic, friendly, hard-working and happy to pitch in where needed. Physically fit, mobile, able to lift up to 30lbs and work on your feet for the duration of the shift.
