A reputable and well established financial services business located in Squamish specializing in bookkeeping, accounting and tax preparation is hiring! **TEMP POSITION IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE** We also have a short-term temp work assignment available starting immediately to help out in the office until this position is filled long-term. This is a great opportunity to “try-before-you-apply” for the right candidate.
About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- Full-time, year-round hours.
- Office hours are typically 9am-5pm Mon-Friday during ‘tax season’ (until June) with some flexibility.
- Lighter, more flexible hours through the summer (eg. 9am-3pm or 4 days a week).
- Starting wage is $24 – $30/hr based on junior position, negotiable for more experienced bookkeepers.
- Enjoy extra time off during stat holidays (4 day weekends!)

The Perfect Candidate:
- 2+ years in customer service or administrative position
- Excellent communication skills
- Very organized, efficient and takes initiative
- Commuter savvy, proficient in excel or google sheets and can learn new programs easily
- Experience with Quickbooks, Sage or other accounting software beneficial.
- Comfortable with assisting client any issues that may arise.
- Previous experience with tax filings (personal or professional) is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail skills and able to make sense of chaos.
- Professionally and respectful of client confidentiality.
- Keen to learn and happy to pitch in and help with a variety of tasks as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Reception duties: greeting clients, handling calls and general email correspondence.
- Data entry / basic bookkeeping tasks *training will be provided.
- Making appointments for clients and managing appointment calendars.
- Administrative support, filing and scanning documents.
- Responsible for ensuring the office and reception area is always presentable.
- Happy to pitch in and help with a variety of tasks as needed.
