A local daycare centre located 10 minutes north of Pemberton looking to expand their team. The Early Childhood Educator ensures the well-being of all children and provides support with the educational program delivery. Offering a competitive wage plus benefits and a great team environment.
About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- Temporary, Part-time and Full-time opportunities available.
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm with some flexibility.
- Starting wage up to $29.45 per hour depending on certification and experience.

The Perfect Candidate:
- 1+ years of experience working within a childcare setting is an asset.
- New graduates of ECE program welcome and encouraged to apply!
- Early Childhood Educator certification or a willingness to obtain. Infant and toddler specialization an asset.
- Understanding of Lil’wat culture & language an asset.
- Compassionate, understanding with exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams.
- Motivated self-starter and with strong interpersonal skills.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the center’s children, their parents, and staff.
- Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable sector).
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop, implement, and lead programs and activities.
- Provide quality care by guiding, encouraging, and supervising children both indoors and outdoors, ensuring children’s safety and well-being at all times.
- Provide the Manager of Child Care Services with support to make informed decisions.
- Provide program support to Head Supervisor and team.
- Ensure operational policies are established and followed in accordance with the Provincial Child Care Licensing Board, and Community Care Facility Act.
- Plan, carry out, and assess developmentally appropriate, activities and experiences in harmony with the center’s philosophy.
- Ensure guidance of children’s behavior that encourages positive self-concept.
- Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the center’s children, their parents, and staff.
- Keep up to date with early childhood education and advocacy developments.
- Assist in housekeeping duties to ensure facilities and equipment are neat, safe, and clean/sanitized.
