Fresh Street Market is looking for a Manager to lead their deli department. Ideally suited for someone that has experience in a similar management role with great leadership abilities.
$60,000 to $70,000 per year based on experience PLUS a ton of great perks including product discounts, wellness allowance, bonuses and a transportation allowance!
About the Role, Benefits & Perks:
- Full-time, year-round, 40 hours per week; blend of daytime and evening shifts including weekends.

The Perfect Candidate:
- 2 to 3+ years of experience in deli department is preferred but open to considering those with less experience and the right motivation.
- Leadership experience in a retail service environment is preferred.
- Food Safe and First Aid Certification are an asset.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Create a positive workplace by developing relationships and engaging colleagues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work well with others in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, policies and practices.
Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing the operations of the deli department.
- Leadership through coaching the company vision, mission, core values.
- Deliver excellent service experience for both internal and external customers.
- Hire, train, manage and motivate a team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Responsible for daily scheduling needs and applying labour optimization.
- Product merchandising; new product/program execution.
- Manage orders, inventory and shrink management.
- Oversee the financial key objectives and needs are achieved.
- Ensure store operations, budgets; financials are met.
- Communication to the team on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues.
- Ensure health and food safety standards are executed through Standard operating procedures.
