About the Role, Benefits & Perks: 
- Full-time position working Monday to Friday at the Pemberton-based office.
- Schedule is typically 8:00am to 5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
- 9-day fortnight schedule meaning you will get a 3-day weekend every 2nd week!

The Perfect Candidate:
- A minimum of 1 year of recent office administration experience. Experience in a local government setting is an asset.
- High school diploma supplemented by business courses, computer and/or public administration courses, or a combination of training and experience.
- Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint.
- Self-starter with strong customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of office administration practices and procedures, including business correspondence, minute taking and records management.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to positively contribute and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, good attention to detail and accuracy, and excellent follow-through.
- Ability to exercise a high level of discretion, confidentiality and sound judgement.
- A valid BC Drivers License.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greet members of the public, answer main phone line, and provide general reception and front counter services. Provide information or direct enquiries to the appropriate contact or department.
- Process mail, code for filing, copy and file; and prepare various types of documentation for mail out.
- Maintain records, including records management and filing systems, archives, and bylaw records. Prepare routine correspondence.
- Coordinate details for Board and Committee meetings, including meals and room setup.
- Assist with coordinating registration and travel arrangements.
- Conduct research work (i.e. locate resources, documents, etc. on a variety of issues).
- Office facilities-related duties including assigning keys and lunch room duties (coffee, tidying, emptying the dishwasher, garbage and recycling), maintain and order office supplies.
- Assist with the coordination of office maintenance and repairs.
- Organize protocol matters arising from civic celebrations as directed.
- Maintain corporate databases and manuals, such as contact lists, Board policies, reference manuals, etc.
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers/vendors, and external organizations as required.
- Assist other departments as directed by the Director of Legislative and Corporate Services or the Chief Administrative Officer.
