Whistler and Squamish Personnel is an innovative recruiting company and we are looking to up our game with a revised website.  Ideal for a creative and technically savvy web designer who likes to take a creative approach to problem solving and design.  Will be assisting with the completion of our website redesign on WordPress using Elementor,  co-managing Google Ads, optimizing SEO, and trouble-shooting hosting operations to ensure peak performance.   Offers a competitive wage, fun team, flexible schedule and growth opportunities.

  • Part time with a flexible work schedule.
  • Bulk of work will be happening in April and May then annual hours will fluctuate.
  • Wage starting in the range of $50 to $55 per hour depending on experience and efficiency.
  • $5/hr increase upon the completion of the initial website relaunch project before summer hits.
  • Job is based in either Whistler, Squamish or Pemberton, BC.
  • Flexibility to work from home as well as meet in person on a weekly basis in Whistler.
  • Computer and phone allowance provided.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and organized approach.
  • Strong web design skills including working with Elementor and WordPress site design, theming, and plugin configuration.
  • Strong command of HTML, CSS and PHP.
  • Post-secondary education in IT, web design or digital communications beneficial.
  • Hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns and digital analytics.
  • Solid understanding of SEO strategy and tools (Google Search Console,  Analytics, Yoast, keyword optimization).
  • Familiarity with hosting platforms and DNS troubleshooting.
  • Able to work independently and deliver high-quality results on schedule.
  • Strong web design skills including working with HTML and WordPress.
  • An expert in SEO strategies and website performance optimizations.
  • Curious and keen to become proficient in the use of AI tools and functionality for optimizing website performance, content creation and user experiences.
  • Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills (English).

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Oversee the completion of our website redesign on WordPress — customizing theme, building page templates for Elementor and streamlining our transition.
  • Assisting with the optimization of online visibility and ranking through Google Ads and SEO and monitoring ongoing performance with Google Analytics.
  • Manage hosting services, troubleshoot DNS issues, and maintain smooth integration between our web and email platforms.
  • Troubleshoot integration of WP Job Manager plugin features to ensure a seamless and positive experience for job seekers and applicants as well as optimization of schema to ensure high ranking on Google’s Job Boards.
  • Assist with the streamlining, design, coding, integration and testing of the web site related HTML codes and plugins.
  • Explore the use of AI tools and functionality to improve and simplify content creation and interactions with employees, clients and applicants.
  • Explore the use of AI tools and functionality to optimize posting jobs and achieving improved results on third party job boards.
  • Teach company employees how to create, update and manage content efficiently with the set design parameters offering support and guidance as needed.
  • Assist with the integration between WordPress forms and the company’s client and candidate CRM database.
  • Track and follow-up on technical issues with service providers.
  • Implement and maintain data backups, updates,  security standards and disaster recovery operations  to ensure ongoing reliability and performance.
  • Regularly conduct tests and perform security, performance and functionality checks.
  • Monitor analytics and report on site and marketing outcomes, suggesting improvements.
