The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring properties are well-maintained and guest-ready. This role focuses on performing routine maintenance, addressing repair requests, and troubleshooting issues to uphold the high standards expected by homeowners and guests. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and skilled in general property maintenance.

The Perfect Candidate:
- Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, or a similar role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable using digital work order systems and mobile communication tools.
- Knowledge of Whistler and the surrounding area is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting.
- Respond to and resolve maintenance requests from guests, homeowners, and internal teams in a timely manner.
- Conduct property walkthroughs and inspections to identify maintenance needs and preventative upkeep opportunities.
- Complete repairs efficiently while ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work orders, including completed tasks and required follow-ups.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Ensure properties are in top condition before guest arrivals by checking lighting, heating, appliances, and other key home features.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance projects, including winterization and summer readiness.
- Keep maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment organized and in working order.
- Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager, Property Services team, and Guest Services team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Other duties as required – flexibility and problem-solving are key in this role.
