POSITION: Event Lead

  • DATES:  August 6th to 17th 2026 at the Whistler Conference Centre *must be available for the entire period!
  • HOURS: Shifts are 8-12 hours long each day, with a variety of start times eg. 8am, 12pm or 5pm
  • DUTIES: Oversees the on-site crew and helps coordinate the setup, execution, and teardown of event operations. Acts as the main point of contact for workflow, problem-solving, and ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Requires past experience with audio, video and lighting installations plus least 5 years of related experience.  Strong communication and organizational skills.  Must be confident leading a team and managing logistics in a fast-paced, public-facing environment. Professional, proactive, and calm under pressure.
  • PROGRESSIVE WAGES:  Event Lead

    • $50hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $52/hr TIER2 after 10 successful shifts
    • $54/hr TIER3 after 20 successful shifts

  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Requires 1+ years of related experience + steel-toed boots.

POSITION: Lighting Tech Assistants  x 14 positions available

  • DATES:   August 6th to 17th 2026 at the Whistler Conference Center & Whistler Roundhouse Lodge
  • TIMES: Various shift options with 8am and 5pm start times and LOTS of opportunity for overtime (8-12hr shifts)
  • DUTIES: Helps install, focus, test, and strike lighting equipment according to the event plan. Supports the lighting crew by running cables, organizing gear, and assisting with on-site adjustments during production.
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Requires 1+ years of related experience + steel-toed boots

POSITION: Audio Tech Assistants   x 7 positions available

  • DATES: August 6th to 17th 2026 at the Whistler Conference Center and Whistler Roundhouse Lodge

  • DUTIES: Supports the audio team by setting up and striking microphones, speakers, mixers, cabling, and other sound equipment. Helps during live operation by monitoring levels, assisting with adjustments, and resolving basic technical issues.

PROGRESSIVE WAGES:  Fork Lift Operators 

    • $46hr TIER1 Base Wage

PROGRESSIVE WAGES:  Experienced Stage Hands

    • $26hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $28/hr TIER2 after 10 successful shifts

Account Manager (Digital Media)

The Pique Newsmagazine is looking for an Account Manager to join their team and consult with local businesses to offer cutting edge marketing solutions.

Offering a competitive base salary plus very lucrative commissions, quarterly bonuses, tickets to exclusive events around Whistler and lots of social networking events and the chance to work a blend of remote and in their Whistler-based office.

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM with some flexibility.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Previous experience in a sales & customer service role with knowledge of digital marketing is preferred.
  • Friendly, personable and positive with great communication skills.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and setting up and leading meetings with new and existing clients.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Able to manage well under pressure and in a fast paced environment, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and problem solve effectively.
  • Previous print, digital and social media experience an asset.
  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Consult with local businesses to offer cutting edge marketing solutions that include traditional digital advertising, sponsored editorial content, website design, social media marketing, search engine marketing and ongoing search engine optimization.
  • Introduce digital advertising solutions to our clients.
  • Maneuver digital marketing campaigns through all areas of the project life cycle.
  • Clearly understand and implement digital marketing campaigns which fit client needs.
