Whistler Hardware (in the village) is looking for motivated and energetic individuals to join our sales service and cashier team.  Come work at one of the most loved stores in the village.  We sell thousands of goods that meet everyone’s daily needs; to both locals and visitors.

JOB TITLE: Retail Sales Associate
LOCATION: Whistler, BC
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time or Part Time
JOB SUMMARY:
  • Full Time or Part Time available.
  • $22 per hour.
  • Seasonal bonus of $3 per hour worked for staff working 20 or more hours a week.

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE – Qualifications & Skills:
  • Some retail experience with good customer service skills
    and enjoys working with the public.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment while maintaining great service to customers.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking.
  • Experience with using computers; POS and spreadsheet experience an asset.
  • Interest in any of the following would be an asset: home repair and maintenance, portable electronics (e.g. headphones, BT speakers, and other A/V support), fishing, boardgames, and arts & crafts.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Processing sales transactions (cashier).
  • Assisting customers with finding items in store / offering basic recommendations.
  • Receiving inventing and re-stocking shelves.
  • General housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming).
  • Moving merchandising racks in and out of store at opening/close.
  • Opening and closing store (based on experience).
  • Cutting keys and replacing batteries on customer devices (training will be provided).
  • Helping visitors find stores and other goods in the village (we get asked a lot for help).
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
  • Part time or Full time hours are available.
  • Work a blend of shifts including weekdays and weekends.
  • Store Hours: 9:30am to 6:00pm, 7 days per week (open to 8 pm in the summer).
SALARY / WAGE RANGE:
  • $22 per hour plus an additional $3 per hour worked as a seasonal bonus.
