Murphy Construction is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor / Foreman to lead high-quality residential and commercial projects throughout the Sea-to-Sky corridor.  They are looking for a safety-driven professional who excels at managing timelines, driving site efficiency, and mentoring local tradespeople.   If you are a dedicated leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional builds from the ground up, we want you on our team.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Proven Experience: 5+ years in residential and commercial construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong ability to read blueprints, manage daily project schedules, and coordinate sub-trades efficiently.
  • Safety First: A solid understanding of BC Building Codes and strict adherence to worksite safety regulations (Level 1 First Aid is a strong asset).
  • Leadership & Problem Solving: Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of leading crews, resolving on-site issues, and keeping projects on time and on budget.
  • Logistics: A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites across the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Site Management: Oversee daily construction activities, direct crew members, and coordinate seamlessly with sub-trades to keep the project schedule on track.
  • Quality Control: Monitor all phases of the build to ensure workmanship meets high standards and complies strictly with BC Building Codes.
  • Safety Enforcement: Lead by example in maintaining a secure work environment, enforcing safety protocols, and conducting regular site hazard assessments.
  • Logistics & Materials: Manage on-site inventory, coordinate material deliveries, and track equipment to prevent delays and keep the project on budget.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide accurate, timely progress updates to the Project Manager and maintain clear, professional communication with clients, architects, and inspectors on site.
