About the Role, Benefits & Perks: 

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, blend of weekday and weekend shifts is required.
  • Opportunity to bank hours over Summer during the high season for extra time off during slow seasons in the Winter.
  • Wage starting at $30+ per hour depending on experience.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • 2+ years of Operations management experience is preferred or other related fields.
  • 2+ years of event setup and tenting experience is preferred – training provided for the right candidate.
  • Require someone who learns quickly and has a high motivation to be successful and is always looking for process and people improvements throughout the organization.
  • Strong organizational and people management skills are essential. Will lead other staff and assist with schedules.
  • Experience with developing and implementing effective processes and procedures.
  • Great at building relationships with employees and a hands-on leader; provide supportive management, guidance, and training.
  • Knowledge and experience with managing inventory tracking and purchasing systems and asset but not required.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License with clean driving abstract required.
  • Experience operating a truck and trailer, and a forklift is an asset.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Liaise with the President and the Warehouse Manager to help organize the warehouse while optimizing storage space and accessibility.
  • Review and update/optimize warehouse/delivery policies and procedures.
  • Lead and train event logistics team members and lead the crew to load, manage and successfully and safely deliver and pick-up orders while updating our inventory management system.
  • Seasonally lead the repair and refurbishing of inventory assets.
  • In the field, drive trucks and crew and deliver orders and lead tent setups where required.
  • Co-manage the warehouse crew; create daily/weekly task lists, delegate duties, ensure efficiency, problem solving.
  • Effective leadership to warehouse team; supporting and encouraging, provide mentorship and training for success, implementing change.
  • Creating safety procedures that align with Health and Safety standards and conduct necessary safety audits.
  • Liaise with the Warehouse Manager and President to prepare orders for projects.
  • Complete damage reports as necessary and notify the sales team of any charges to be billed to clients.
