Help people of all abilities to access trail, water and snow-based programming.  The Athlete Coordinator is the face of the program and works directly with clients on a daily basis; ideally suited for someone who is organized, customer service focused and administratively strong.  Offering a competitive starting wage of $24 to $25 per hour plus a wellness perk, extended health benefits and flexibility to work in the office or remotely.

  • Full-time, year-round, 40 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday schedule with some flexibility; some weekend work will be required.
  • Hybrid of both remote and in-office work available.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • Customer service and administration experience preferred.
  • Relevant education in sport administration and/or related experience as well as sport coaching certifications an asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with individuals of all ages and abilities their families.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs easily.
  • Passion for adaptive sport and making a difference in our community.
  • Previous experience working in a not-for-profit organization as staff or volunteer an asset.
  • Coaching or previous sport program management an asset.
  • Knowledge of adaptive sport, Paralympic sport systems and/or Special Olympics.
  • Knowledge of trail based, water and snow sport programs is an asset.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check is mandatory prior to commencement of employment.
  • First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • The Athlete Coordinator is responsible for successfully aligning athletes with the appropriate day-to-day programs.
  • Be the first point of contact for both local and visiting athletes and their families (coordination of local and visiting families).
  • Conduct intake of athletes and participants; collaborate with core staff on  an ongoing basis to execute various internal deliverables.
  • Plan, schedule and facilitate weekly, monthly, and seasonal programming while also facilitating drop-in programs in coordination with the Volunteer and Training Program Manager.
  • Assist with scheduling and facilitating seasonal camps.
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all individuals associated with the company.
  • Provide strong customer service skills and attention to detail through the full circle registration process.
