TEMP: Audio, Video, and Sound Tech Event Crews

Apply NowWe have a few big events this summer requiring experienced Audio, Video, and Sound Techs.  Join our temp program and pickup the shifts you want – choose your own schedule and events all summer long!   Pays up to $50/hour plus vac pay for experienced techs and there are also opportunities for bonuses and overtime.

  • POSITIONS: Audio, Video, and Sound Techs
  • DATES:
    • Shifts available all summer long an ongoing basis *CHOOSE YOUR OWN SCHEDULE!
    • Between Aug 6 to 17th 2026 we have over 126 AV Tech shifts for a major corporate event with separate wages! 
  • HOURS:
    • Choose your start time –  morning, afternoon & evening are available starts plus overnight shifts from time to time
  • LOCATION:
    • Primarily in Whistler but also in Squamish & Pemberton from time to time.
  • DUTIES:
    • Video Assistant / LED Techs: Assists with the setup, testing, operation and strike of video equipment, including LED panels, displays, and related cabling. Helps troubleshoot technical issues, monitors equipment during the event, and ensures visuals run smoothly.
    • Audio Assistant: Supports the audio team by setting up and striking microphones, speakers, mixers, cabling, and other sound equipment. Helps during live operation by monitoring levels, assisting with adjustments, and resolving basic technical issues.
    • Lighting Assistant: Helps install, focus, test, and strike lighting equipment according to the event plan. Supports the lighting crew by running cables, organizing gear, and assisting with on-site adjustments during production.
  • QUALIFICATIONS: 
    • Requires 1+ years of related experience + steel-toed boots.
  • WAGES: 
    • Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on the number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour!
    • SUPERHERO BONUSES of an extra $2-$4/hr are often offered for last-minute shifts!
    • All wages also receive an extra  4% vacation pay on top.

JUNIOR TECHS (1 years experience)

    • $38/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $40/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)
    • $42/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts (Base + $4/hr Bonus)

EXPERIENCED TECHS (2+ years experience)

    • $42/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $44/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)
    • $46/hr TIER3 after 20 shifts (Base + $4/hr Bonus)

SENIOR TECHS (3+ years experience)

    • $46/hr TIER1 Base Wage
    • $48/hr TIER2 after 10 shifts (Base + $2/hr Bonus)

Superhero Bonus

Whistler Personnel uses a progressive pay system that awards pay increases based on number of Successful Shifts completed. The more you work with us, the more you get paid per hour! After you complete 10 probationary shifts, you get a $2/hr wage bump – then you get another bump after 20 shifts for being a HERO!

MINIMUM BASE WAGES—no experience needed:

  • Proby (Tier 1) = $20hr to start plus 4% vacation pay
  • Regular (Tier2) = $22/hr after 10 Successful Shifts
  • Hero (Tier 3) = $24/hr after 20 Successful Shifts

HAVE EXPERIENCE?—earn higher base wages! For example;

  • Experienced Room Attendants currently: $24-$28/hr
  • Experienced Construction  Labourers Currently: $25-$29/hr
  • Carpenters & Skilled Trades Currently: $30-$44/hr
  • Certified Trades/Journeymen Currently: $46-$50/hr

TEMP: Corporate Event Lead *August 2026*

Lead the team at a major corporate event in Whistler this August!   We’re now hiring an Corporate Event Lead  specializing in audio, video, and sound operations for a high-profile corporate event from August 6–17.  Don’t miss the chance to help deliver a world-class event and earn over $5,500 over a 10 day period!

POSITION: Event Lead

  • DATES:  August 6th to 17th 2026 *must be available for the entire period!
  • HOURS: Shifts are 8-12 hours long each day, with a variety of start times eg. 8am, 12pm or 5pm
  • LOCATION:   The Whistler Conference Centre – 4010 Whistler Way, Whistler, BC
  • DUTIES:  : Oversees the on-site crew and helps coordinate the setup, execution, and teardown of event operations. Acts as the main point of contact for workflow, problem-solving, and ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:   Requires at least 5 years of related experience including hands-on knowledge of audio, video & lighting installations + steel-toed boots.

 

  • PERKS:
    • Work all 10 shifts over 12 days and earn an additional $2/hr Superhero Bonus on all hours worked.

TEMP: Event Installation Crew, Stage Hands & AV Techs

Event installation Crew and AV Technicians are the foundation of every Sea-to-Sky event’s success! Without you working temp shifts, these amazing events wouldn’t happen, so get involved and sign-up to earn great wages on your own schedule!

  • Apply NowPOSITIONS: Event Installation Crew, Stage Hands, + AV Techs
  • DATES: Daily shifts on an ongoing basis based on events happening in the area.
  • DUTIES:
    • Event Installation/Stage Hands – Work under direction to support production teams and keep the event running safely and on schedule, which may include general labour, set up and takedown of event staging, gates, tents, signage, and other aspects of event preparation, preparing the venue, and running errands as needed for the event leads. There is lifting /bending etc. involved, and heavy lifting up to 40lbs.
    • AV Techs – Assisting with the running and connections of cable & wiring including Speakers, Microphones, TV Monitors, Sound Board, Cameras, Lighting and other equipment. Also includes the unloading / loading of trucks, setting up heavy equipment and pitching in where needed.
  • HOURS:  Choice of morning, evening & overnight shifts for 4-12 hours (Overtime applicable after 8hrs)
  • LOCATION:  Whistler, Squamish, & Pemberton
  • SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Experience preferred.  Friendly, hard working, and willing to pitch in where needed. Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads and stay on your feet for the duration of the shift. Steel toe boots required

JOB TITLE: Service Technician
LOCATION: Pemberton, BC
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Service all major brands of powersports produced in the last 10 model years including snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs, dirt and street bikes.
THE PERFECT CANDIDATE – Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the powersports or relevant industry.
  • Preference will be given to those with certifications and previous factory schooling
  • Computer skills and working on mobile devices
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of engine systems, from dirt bikes to snowmobiles, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work alone, as well as in a team.
  • Ability to rebuild an engine or machine.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on units per set checklists, including oil changes, brake and multi point inspections.
  • Use the provided diagnostic software to help identify any issues on the units.
  • Conduct machine inspections.
  • Doucment all repair work and update the relevant repair orders, in the dealership tracking software.
  • Stay updated on new and improved techniques and new machines launched.
  • Stay up to date on required new provided training
  • Communicate efficiently with the Service Coordinator to provide the best customer service possible.
  • Advise the Service Coordinator on any recommended services or repairs.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
  • Tuesday – Saturday (shift hours flexible)
  • 40 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for planning and adding the appropriate cabling, accessories and back-up equipment onto the work-orders.
  • Confirm operational details with facility representatives and/or client such as room availabilities, load-in times, set-up times, dismantle times, etc.
  • Coordinate timelines with other event suppliers.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is remitted to the scheduled technical teams for execution including operational documents such as blank Post Meeting Reports, Change Order/Equipment Release Form, etc
  • Direct supervision of AV Technicians as assigned.
  • Assist in the planning, organizing and execution of cycle counts and annual inventory counts per established procedures.
  • Ensure timely reporting on aspects of operations in accordance with established procedure.
  • Conduct employee training in accordance with established training strategies and plans.
  • Assist with preparation and execution of staff / operations meetings.
  • Participate in the weekly Operations meetings.
  • Accept and execute all additional related duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
SCHEDULE DETAILS:
  • Full-time, year-round.
  • The nature of our business requires that you remain flexible as your scheduled hours may vary in accordance with the needs of the business.
