One of Whistler’s largest property management companies is looking for a numbers-savvy administrative professional to join the team in an Accounts Receivable role. About the Role:
- DATES: Mon-Fri on an ongoing basis
- HOURS: 9:00 am-5:00 pm
- LOCATION: Whistler, BC
- WAGES: $27 – $31 per hour + 4% vacation pay
- BENEFITS: Comprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months
The Perfect Candidate:
- Previous accounts receivable and bookkeeping experience.
- 2+ years of administrative and customer service experience in a professional environment.
- Experience processing payments, including cash, cheque, e-transfer, and wire payments.
- Understanding of Strata Corporations and the critical role accounting plays in their overall operations.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and accounting software.
- Friendly, personable, and professional, with a strong drive to succeed in the role and a willingness to pursue additional training as needed.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver responsive and personalized customer service.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, effectively managing a busy and fast-paced work environment.
- Proactive and takes initiative, requiring minimal supervision.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Motivated and solution-focused, with sound judgment and strong decision-making abilities
Responsibilities Include:
- Post and deposit all incoming payments, including cheques, wire transfers, and e-transfers.
- Process U.S. exchange on cheques and send owner notifications as required.
- Prepare and process first-of-the-month post-dated cheque deposits.
- Manage accounts receivable arrears and tracking, including posting interest, fines, and credits, and allocating unapplied credits within the accounting system.
- Create customer invoices, send payment reminders, and follow up on account inquiries and overdue balances.
- Process daily e-transfers, prepare bank deposits, and post transactions to accounts receivable.
- Manage incoming phone calls and accounting email correspondence.
- Communicate with owners regarding accounts receivable matters, including responding to inquiries from agents and council members.
