The Whistler Racket Club, a boutique café/restaurant offering a ton of potential,  is looking for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager.  Offering creative opportunity, $60,000+ per year PLUS bonuses based on performance and access to on-site facilities.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • 2 to 3+ years of Executive Chef experience is preferred.
  • Managerial experience in leading a successful kitchen team to create a strong team environment.
  • Motivated, creative, and detail oriented individual who is passionate about food and strives towards delivering the perfect customer experience.
  • Driven, positive and outgoing with great leadership skills.
  • Clear communication, organization, delegation, strong problem solving skills and decision making skills.
  • Computer literate including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Windows-based computer systems.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Manage and participate with the day-to-day operations while having fun, leading by example, showing kindness and mindful communication.
  • Build, mentor, and inspire the team to keep food quality and turnaround time on track.
  • Create an exciting and positive atmosphere, and encourage the team push themselves to their highest potential.
  • Train new staff members to follow our standards and guidelines.
  • Menu planning and development.
  • Budgeting and financial planning for labor and food cost.  Ensure a consistent labour cost percentage in line with set budgets. Daily and weekly food ordering.
  • Proactively Leads kitchen team to follow safety and food safe standards.
