The Whistler Racket Club, a unique location and activities centre, offering a ton of potential,  is looking for a Kitchen Manager.  Offering creative opportunity with plenty of growth potential, $60,000+ per year plus gratuities.

The Perfect Candidate: 

  • 3 to 5+ years of cooking experience in a high-volume experience preferred but open to all experience levels.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Driven, motivated and outgoing with great leadership skills: experience leading a successful kitchen team to create a positive and strong working environment.
  • Culinary or trade school certificate is an asset.
  • Motivated, creative, and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about food and strives towards delivering the perfect customer experience.
  • Excellent communication, organization, delegation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrates accountability through integrity and honesty.
  • Good computer skills: MS Office Suite, Windows-based computer system, POS systems, Online scheduling/payroll and purchasing systems.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Ensure the proficient day to day leadership, development, and management of the kitchen team, including all direct reports.
  • Consistently work to control usage, costs and all other financial aspects of the food program.
  • Maintain and promote a high standard of quality for the Food Program.
  • Ensure equipment assets are well maintained and serviced regularly, while researching new equipment and obtaining quotes as required.
  • Promote the Whistler Racket Club to both locals and visitors, ensuring goodwill and return visits.
  • Ensure ticket time goals are upheld through the accurate and timely preparation of food product while maintaining food safety standards as set by Vancouver Coastal Health.
  • Promote teamwork and encourage others to set up the team for success with the primary goal of exceeding guest expectations.
  • Manage recruitment of new kitchen team members.
  • Participate in the training and development of all kitchen team members, along with performance reviews and progressive discipline procedures.
