The Whistler Off Road Cycling Association (WORCA) is looking for some enthusiastic and passionate BIKE COACHES to help inspire the next generation of riders. This fun and interactive job is best suited for someone with a passion for biking and a love for working with children.

ABOUT THE CAMP:

During the summer months WORCA hosts 5-day youth dirt camps fully coached to support youth aged 5 to 15. The focus of the Dirt Camps and programs is fun, skill development, trail exploration, stewardship, and trail etiquette.  For more info visit:  WORCA-Summer-Camp-Job-Post or worca.com

About the Role, Benefits & Perks:

  • Full-time, Part-Time or Casual Hours are available all summer long.
  • Seasonal from Jun27-Sept2nd, Mon-Fri 8:30am-3pm.
  • Fair wages  based on experience starting at $20.50 per hour+ 4% vacation pay.
  • Education and Bike Maintenance Allowances are provided.

The Perfect Candidate:

  • Experience working with youth and is 18yrs or older.
  • Strong mountain bike skills and love for the sport.
  •  Level 1 PMBI Mountain Bike Instructor Development Program course or equivalent.
  • First Aid certification  – Wilderness, OFA or similar.
  • Experience supervising/coaching/instructing youth an asset.

Duties / Responsibilities include:

  • Coaching youth aged 5-15 years in a camp/program environment alongside other coaches and instructors.
  • Demonstrating our core values around the WORCA DIRT CAMPS: Integrity, Community and Environment, Uncompromising Safety.

  • Additional duties/responsibilities as required.

ABOUT WORCA:  The Whistler Off Road Cycling Association fosters the evolution of the sport through its youth programs and clinics, teaching safety, etiquette and technique to cyclists;  WORCA helps to maintain hundreds of kilometers of trail to the highest environmental standards through member fees and volunteer efforts.
