Event Rental Works  is looking for a Warehouse Manager.  Ideally suited for an experienced manager who is innovative, organized, and has exceptional leadership  and communication skills.

The warehouse is currently located in Pemberton but will be moving to Squamish in Fall 2023; open to discussing a potential contract position for local candidates or something more permanent.

Offering $70,000+ per year based on experience plus performance based bonuses and health benefits.

The Perfect Candidate:

  • 2 to 3+ years of warehouse management experience is required.
  • Able to jump right into the role with limited training; require someone who learns quickly and has a high motivation to be successful.
  • Strong organizational and people management skills are essential.
  • Experience with developing and implementing effective processes and procedures.
  • Great at building relationships with employees and a hands-on leader; provide supportive management, guidance and training.
  • Knowledge and experience with managing inventory tracking and purchasing systems.
  • Interest in designing the new warehouse space, managing moving logistics and process is an asset.
  • Valid BC Driver’s License with clean driving abstract required.
  • Experience operating a truck and trailer, and also a forklift is an asset.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and organize the warehouse while optimizing storage space and accessibility.
  • Managing warehouse crew; creating daily/weekly task lists, delegating duties, ensuring efficiency, problem solving.
  • Effective leadership to warehouse team; supporting and encouraging, provide mentorship and training for success, implementing change.
  • Reviewing and implementing warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Picking inventory for projects; picking + packing + loading and unloading activities.  Accurately track and update inventory in system.
  • Shipping and receiving: ordering parts from suppliers, arranging shipping from suppliers and to customers, receive items and update inventory in our system.
  • Creating safety procedures that align with Health & Safety standards and conduct necessary safety audits.
  • Liaise with the Operations Manager and Logistics Coordinator to
    prepare orders for projects.
  • Coordinate building and site maintenance in the different seasons.
  • Complete damage reports as necessary and notify the sales team of any charges to be billed to clients.
